The problem here is you didn’t provide a detailed description of your 5 metrics in a rubric that can be followed or calibrated. What you may see a a 5 for consistency I may see as a 3. Recruiting, vice versa. Your defense of your ratings is very subjective “I gave him a 5 here” why? By what measure, what stat line or outcome, what data are used to provide the levels within each 1 - category?
Could you imagine… no greater storybook ending for the GOAT. But I still don’t think he’d come back. Can’t get my hopes up.
3 years and then you better be competitive at double digits wins. Once you’ve had the same players with you for 3 years that’s all development on you. We have the pipelines and the Talent, money shouldn’t be any concern. We may not give millions per player, but you will have a stable of 4/5 stars to work with.
Don’t care don’t want, his teams seem perfect for WC energy, intensity and low expectations. USC ain’t firing him unless he goes full belly up. So only way he moves if he misses better competition or home.
Year 2 he brings in some red hot young OC with burning zeal and mentors him into the HC job!
Actually yea, imagine who would be available or even interested in the job in a few years. Sometimes you need a stop gap. I would be absolutely ok with a 3-yr Saban deal and at least 1 playoff appearance during that time. Let him ride off into the sunset!
I have never played and can’t throw a spiral. I could go 18/21 if I was only throwing 5 - 8 yard passes.
I didn’t say that… lol, but I’m not thinking about these names being mentioned. I’m thinking about other OCs like the Lions Morten, Ravens Monken. People I doubt would even consider moving into a HC at college.

Weird how a Bama fan would have the best inside scoop on the next LSU coach…. But, the current Admin is saying it will be a major change and I think they actually mean that. I mean if LSU were to grab a one of the best OCs in the NFL that would be massive and definitely hype for a year until we see the next year’s product.
This… Nuss has played FB since he’s a kid. He has been PAID to do a job and he failed. Paid more money as 24 yr old to pay football in 6 months then I will make in 10 years and I have a decent paying job. Criticism is valid and deserved, it clear his skills are not SEC caliber. The sad thing is somewhere someone didn’t have the guts to tell him or his dad the truth he’s just not good enough to be productive in this conference.
Yes he has; did OP post this after the announcement or before?

Love the idea! Saban as GM. I mean at this point College is just Minor league NFL.

the line with the year and question marks needs another pass; but,Well spoken. Are you the poster who likes to make the poems?
I won’t speculate to deep as to who you point too, but I do think this should be set into a bark of cypress after the new hire. Its obvious there is a connection here to the GOAT but in what capacity we shall see. If next coach pulls in a NC o7 I’ll come back here and and look for a new poem recap of that year!

So you think LSU’s new HC is Freeman bc one dude out of many many boosters says he thinks freeman bolts at the end of the year? Why are you even here with this bs?

o7 Philly,
Also… if Saban is any way a part of LSU FB moving forward as a GM or Dir or Pres Of FB OPs. Then Philly gets unbanned.

re: Why would LSU want to hire Saban?

I don’t think he wants to coach again.
But…
Saban come back for 3 - 5 years, maybe get a Natty out of it; he grooms the OC or DC position to be the next personally selected HC like a Kirby Smart caliber to make LSU competitive for the next decade+
I’ll allow it.

I don’t see Saban as HC, but maybe the AD or even an GM of football operations for recruiting and talent scouting. Let him come back to guide us forward and repair the emotional damage for leaving us for Miami. He’s always said that was his biggest mistake.

I threw this name out super early on as soon as I Kelly was fired, He looks like a players coach that plays tough physical football and gets pure by in. He wouldn’t be outrageously expensive. He is doing pretty well at BYU, and if he had more resources behind him I think it may well be a good fit. Also, we need to get him a young gun high powered OC and we have the money to foot the bill for a good one too!
Are we sure this isn’t a Saban as an AD role?

Not gonna lie, bringing Nic in to be an FB GM or even an Assistant AD would be sick. I don’t think he wants back into coaching though.
