As a kid:
1997 Auburn- it was a great game in Death Valley that night and herb Tyler kept throwing to Auburn in the first half. Luckily, we had Cecil Collins who ran like a mad man and we nobody could stop him. We took the lead but dinardo wanted to throw the ball on 3rd and 1 instead of giving it to Cecil Collins. Auburn won in the final minutes and I was like a sad little puppy.

1997 ole miss the week after we beat number 1 Florida gators. Of course Jefferson pilot game of the week lol. It was a day game at home and it was dead in there. Ole miss beat us 36-21. It was taught for me to hate ole miss growing up and that was when my hatred for Tommy Tubberville started.

As an adult:
2007 Arkansas- les miles called Arkansas (Ar-Kansas and derron McFadden went beastmode. I thought it was over losing to them the last game of he season while we were number 1. I had the sadz. My fiancé at the time offered sex but I just couldn’t.

The kick 6, and the Camback

Auburn literally exists to be the stone in Alabama's shoe

Holy Toledo game. There was nothing really on the line in this game, but as another poster said earlier, it changed the way I watch football. I used to get really irrationally upset over the Hogs losing, but now I have 3 little girls that watch how I act. I have cleaned it up big time. I still have a hot passion for SEC Football and watch every Arkansas game, but in a different manner.

I realized right then no football game will ever get me riled up like that again. I am much more chill and laugh off/shrug off losses immediately after the game.

This happened for me in 2008 after Georgia put up 52 points on LSU. Since making that conscious decision to not be so emotionally invested in football, it’s been so much better. I didn’t even let 21-0 ruin my evening.

You got beat by a better team during a rebuilding period in your program. It has happened before and it will happen again. Get over it.

MsHawg thank you for that. You're on the outside looking in and have a much better understanding than most Gamecock fans around here. We needed that and yes we are in rebuilding mode and will be for a couple of years. Don't anyone forget we lost to Citadel just 3 seasons ago.

Oy...tough subject

2014 Rose Bowl - Tre Mason scored too soon, and I knew it when it happened. Defense was gassed and I could see it coming a mile away. frick FSU

1996 UGA - 28-7 @ half. And we lost in 4 OT's. Long ride back to Atlanta that night.

2001 Bama - Andrew Zow came outta nowhere to eat our lunch.

2017 LSU - How the frick does anyone lose to Yaw Yaw up 20-0 @ the half.

2006 Arkansas - Fred Tally is still running.

1988 LSU - The earthquake game. They didn't get past the 50 yd line all day until the last drive. That cost us a national championship.

1985 Bama - frick you, Van Tiffin. Just frick you.

1998 Alabama. LSU blew a 16-7 lead in the waning minutes. Bama even recovered an onside kick.

2007 Kentucky. LSU tight end drops an easy TD, the defense gets shredded, and LSU blows a lead to lose it’s No.1 ranking.

Does everyone know only LSU has these type of heart breaking losses and it takes decades to get over it?

2012 SEC title game did me in. After that game, I have a 24 hour rule. Getting sloppy drunk, and eat 3 rows of Oreos until I get mud butt. I typically recover pretty quickly.

2013 SEC title game

Then I got over a month to stew over the dumbfrick game plan we employed that cost us maybe the only chance at a NC in my lifetime.

It was a bummer

What exactly was the defensive game plan? Seems like they didn't have one, Auburn had 545 yards rushing and 677 total yards.

I’ve told this story on the Rant, but I’ll share it here.

A few years ago I drove into work and got there a little after 7. My boss called me in his office to tell me he didn’t think I was putting in enough hours to be successful and I needed to address it. I had worked over 60 hours the previous week.

A little while later I got a text from my wife to call her. She informed me her boss had called her to let her know that she was being let go two weeks before she was supposed to return to work from being out on Maternity leave. My daughter was on her insurance, and my insurance at the time was shitty. (Later I found out it would cost a little over $1000/month to add them)

So I spent the rest of that day pondering how I was going to be able to work more hours and pay extra money for insurance while losing a substantial portion of our income and still be able to keep up appearances when we all went over to friends house later to watch a little football game.

The date? 1/9/2012.

I shite you not.

It’s still one of the worst days of my life. For reasons far beyond 21-0.

Vandy 2012 - I think most UK fans wanted Joker to succeed at UK as the hometown guy. 40-0 was rough to watch knowing it was the nail in the coffin for him and completely erasing any positive progress Rich Brooks had made before him.

Florida 2017 - I feel much better about it now. But it was pretty gut wrinching.
