re: If Shough finishes well, do you keep same 3 QBs next year?
Posted by elprez00 on 11/13/25 at 6:09 am to Mushroom1968
Yes. This team is devoid of playmakers. Theres no generational talent at qb this draft, so you use your picks to get talent on this team. Safety, DLine, WR, etc.

It appears that Governor Landry or his minions thought LSU could float rumors of reasons to terminate for cause in an effort to aid buyout negotiations. They seem to have thought that the rumors would provide leverage that would decrease Kelly's demand. Perhaps he/they figured that LSU did not really need an actual reason to terminate for cause, let alone evidence to support those allegations. "We just gonna put it out there to make Kelly squirm and negotiate."
Look I’m not defending Landry and I don’t support his public statements. But this whole blurb is fricking stupid. LSU has general council, and so does the state. They understand the difference between for cause and for convenience. There is no way they would allow any officials to float for cause without actual cause. From a legal standpoint, a ten cent lawyer knows that’s stupid and pointless and would only expose their client to even more penalties beyond the money owed.
Yall need to take a break. Have a beer. Chill the hell out. Relax a second. This board has become unreadable and fricking embarrassing.

Les Miles
Won a championship, made a second, and was essentially automatic 10 wins every year. Yes he got long in the tooth and lsu should’ve parted ways sooner. But let’s not act like Les was anything other than a complete successful following someone like Saban.
It’s interesting that reports are now coming out that LSU is terminating for cause. There is something brewing behind the scenes. You don’t say that without something, legally speaking. I’m sure the language states this would go to arbitration, and an arbitrator is going to look poorly on an accusation of “for cause” being “cause you suck.” Surely thy have to be smarter than that. On the surface it sounds like they gave Kelly the opportunity to settle out of view and he’s not taking it.

Nick Saban
I know this is a terrible take. Let me start with that.
But Nick isn’t a long term solution. What’s he going to be here for? 3 years? 5 max? He’s 72. We’ll start all over again.

But he rolled with it and never said anything else about it. And next time I’ll definitely mute/distract him from it at that part.
There are tons of stories out there of families enjoying this movie only to have that come out of left field.

I think the fanbase has been pretty reasonable. No one is going crazy. We all knew this is where we’d be.
We want Mickey gone. Reasonable and necessary.
We want Gayle to get engaged. Or hire someone else that will. Reasonable and necessary.

Assuming you could find the right actor, a movie about Dick becoming Batman would be pretty badass. Especially with the right villain that can figure out it’s not the same guy.

I know in the current comic canon you have the Bat-Family consisting of Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, and usually the Barbara Gordon version of Batgirl. All of them have ties to Bruce.
So let’s suppose Bruce dies from some crazy crime spree and finally succumbs to the life he’s been living. Who takes up the Mantle of Batman? Or do they let it die with Bruce?
