I have the LCP Max. As others have said, you aren’t carrying an assault with the pistol and you damn sure aren’t Annie Oakley. But it’s tiny and it fits in the pocket.

I’ve been to both. For me, Wrigley > Fenway. Both were cool as hell and just oozed nostalgia.

I guess I felt like this: Wrigley is a place that still wants to be a ballpark. Fenway is a place that has to be a ballpark.
For you, the day Bison came to your village was the most important day of your life. For me, it was a Tuesday.
My parents convinced my brother and I that the dishwasher used too much electricity so we could only use it occasionally
I had the Mac-10 one. If I’m remembering correctly did they not also have a grenade water balloon filler that looked like a plunger detonator?

BTW, the Super Soaker 50 was better than these in every way possible. As a matter of fact, it is still the greatest water gun ever invented. I was very disappointed when they released the anniversary edition that was a SS50 in appearance only.

Equipment matters, don’t let anyone try to tell you otherwise. You aren’t skipping senkos with a $33 academy h20 express baitcaster.

Yeah, and not in a bad part of town. Chick-fil-A is right down the road.

Hammond is having issues right now and no one in town is talking about it.
I’m actually glad we are selling. Getting a decent amount of equity out of the property and are going to rent for a little while. I’ll probably buy a lot in a year and just sit on it for right now to try to let the prices come down.
I’ve shared this story before. I saw Up way after the fact. I took my daughter to my parents to spend the night to get out of the house cause we were doing something with them the next morning. Think we were tagging Christmas Trees and my wife was out of town. We were struggling financially at the time and really challenged to try to move forward with our lives. My parents put on Up, I’d never seen it. After the opening, I had to leave the room. I lost it. The whole thing of trying to save up, putting things off, and then losing the person you want to share things with was very, very real.

I was messed up for a while after that. My mine went back to it every time we had a setback, every time we put off something.

Even now I still think about it. We just did a Disney trip with the kids and spent way too much money, and I started to protest and say we should wait til next year. But my daughter starts high school next year, and before I blink she’ll be in college, then out of the house and on her own. My son is at such an awesome age too. Those are core memories I’ll never have again

Truck traffic is what drives most of the problems. 18 wheeler driving 68 in the left hand lane passing an 18 wheeler driving 67 in the right hand lane. Traffic stacks up for miles behind, and as soon as one gets over it’s a mad dash to try to get past before it inevitably happens again.

You have this mix of people driving 60 with people driving 90. There’s no in between.

If the cops ever actually enforced obstructing the flow of traffic instead of bullshite, it might actually help.

Back in the day Dad and I built a center support out of EMT and 2x4s. Made a big long U shape with the 2x4s as a base that sat on the deck. Worked pretty well.

re: Jobs You Had as a Kid

Lifeguard from the summer before my freshman year of high school thru my freshman year of college. Such a great job as a kid.

I had a job as a bar back and back of house in a restaurant my junior year. Not bad money cause all the waitresses liked me and would tip me out. Then one night our dishwasher quit and I had to fill in. Next night, same thing. Then all my shifts were dishwasher. Quit after that.

I worked one day at a tire and oil change place. They put me working with this old douchebag mechanic that sat there and yelled at me all day. frick that guy. What a miserable human being. At first I thought he was just giving me the weed out treatment until one of the other techs came up to me and said “just ignore him. He hates everything.” Quit that evening. Not worth the hassle

Worked retail one semester in college thru the holidays. Black Friday is as big of a nightmare as you think. They hired too many people so I was working 4 shifts per week and not making any money. Then around Christmas they kept scheduling me “On Call” where I had to call in twice and see if I had to go in. This was unpaid of course. After two days during Christmas break where I didn’t go in I quit. No point in sitting around my apartment all break doing nothing.

Last non-professional job I had was a HVAC supply house warehouse job. Worked there all thru college until the summer before my senior year when I got an internship. It was a good job, made good money at the time. Let me be independent. Best thing is it let me learn how to talk to working people. A bunch of the contractors that would come in got to know me and knew I was going to LSU for CM and really were helpful. I took an interest in their trades and they respected me for doing so. I found when I got my first internship I was definitely more comfortable dealing with the contractors than most of my peer interns.
Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten is when me and a guy I was working with were invited to eat with our crew doing concrete in Cleburne TX. Only two of the guys spoke English, but the guy I was with was fluent in Spanish. They made sure we ate first and had all the food and beer we wanted. We laughed a lot, one of their wives did all the cooking, and they were great

It’s economics 101. When the demand for racism by the left exceeds the supply, just manufacture more supply to meet the demand.

As awesome as this is, I can’t help but think this kid is going to have $1M in educational debt before he’s 25.

Hell even then if you don’t lie about it you’re probably good. I’ve watched people do some stupid shite and not get fired.

And to whoever said “if you aren’t getting yelled at it means you aren’t doing anything important” lot of truth there.
