Official offseason topic thread.
Alabama -
McCarron, Ingram, Barker, Namath, Stabler, Alexander, Jones? I'm not sure who takes the cake there.
Arkansas - Maybe Darren McFadden?
Auburn - Bo Jackson
Florida - Tim Tebow
Georgia - Herschel
Kentucky - Jared Lorenzen?
LSU - Billy Cannon, Kevin Faulk, Bert Jones, and I've always heard Tiger fans hold Dalton Hilliard and Tommy Hodson in high regard
Ole Miss - Archie
Mississippi State - Anthony Dixon? Can't really think of any players from Mississippi State that were good enough to be beloved by their fanbase
Missouri - Michael Sam? Chase Daniel?
South Carolina - George Rogers? Connor Shaw? Marcus Lattimore?
Tennessee - Peyton Manning or Reggie White
Texas A&M - John Football
Vanderbilt - Jay Cutler? Earl Bennett?

For my generation, it's Joe Namath. For the younger guys, I'm not sure.

Probably Jacob Hester, Patrick Peterson or Kevin Faulk.

I used to like watching that brad smith guy throw the football without using the laces. Wasn't he pretty good for them?

For LSU, I would say that Kevin Faulk, Josh Reed, Patrick Peterson, Glen Dorsey and Rohan Davey are probably the most universally loved ex-Tigers.

TaM loves this guy. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

That's a good one, too. No argument here.

For Auburn, its the Heisman winners. Sullivan, Jackson and Newton, but Terry Beasley is right in that mix.

Tennessee - Heath Shuler

For Mizzou, I think it's Jeremy Maclin.
He's a true son and was electric on the field. Just really fun to watch and an outstanding ambassador for the university.
He even set up a scholarship program at Mizzou.

Mizzou = Brad Smith and it isn't really close.

Mizzou-Brad Smith, he is the player responsible for bringing Mizzou out of the 20 years of hell.

Tim Couch maybe? Although Lorenzen is loved, it's mostly because he's Bert-fat. If he was (a) more successful in his collegiate career, or (b) from rural Kentucky, he'd be higher. Kentucky fans love the mountain boys--see Richie Farmer. Randall Cobb is also a strong candidate.

Alabama- Joe Namath & Tyrone Prothro (imho)
