I think the last loss vs. Clemson and the loss vs. UL Monroe in ‘07 are up there with it.

With 1 second left vs Ole Miss- Les told his QB to spike the ball

I’ve been trying to tell LSU fans for over a decade that play never existed within the game. The clock expired before the snap. If LSU fans want to bitch about that game then you need to blame the 11 seconds that ran off the clock before snapping the ball after a 26 yard LaFell completion. That play started at 1:04 left on the clock. Next play is at the :40 second mark. Clock stops while chains are being reset.

Also. Pick any of the Orgeron games while at Ole Miss or Just about any of Nutt’s last two years.

I don’t know if I blame the players or Croom but losing to freaking MAINE is the biggest embarrassment in school history. You rush for more yards, throw for more than 2 and 1/2 times more yards, find yourself near there endzone time after time and lose 9-7 lol. Nobody can say they had a bigger embarrassment than that. WE OWN THAT TITLE!

I knew in the spring we were in for a rough year. The Spring game--yes Spring Game, we could not even score against ourself. Drove four hours to watch the scrimmage and at the end of the fan's day the score was 0-0. No offense even got close to scoring. And Croom game out of the pressbox and declared the game over at 0-0 That is when I started rethinking about my season tickets.

fricking hate spring games. I was glad when Freeze turned it from a scoring scrimmage to just a glorified practice.

Spring game is a shootout and everyone claims “man our offense is great” when in reality the defense is a wet paper towel.

That Auburn game with all the Picks/Pick 6's (Jamie Howard) courtesy of Hallman and Amedee.

Just run the ball every play in the second half and AU doesn't have enough time come back and win.

While he had so many, Mike Dubose vs Arkansas in '98 (L 42-6) would be one of the worst if not for how he finished the season with an arse kicking by VT (L 38-7) in the Music City Bowl. Two of the worst prepared and played games I have seen Bama play.

Dennis Francione did this to Nick Saban and LSU in 2002. Fran ran a smoke draw over and over and the Saban/Muschamp D couldn't stop it, even when they knew it was coming. When the dust settled UA beat LSU 31-0 in what was probably Saban's most humiliating defeat ever as a head coach.

In true Nick Saban fashion, though, he crushed Alabama the next year and won the NC at LSU.

This would be Franchione the next year.

His two worst defeats by margin of victory were against 1995 and 1996 Nebraska. Michigan State lost those games by scores of 50-10 and 55-14 respectively.

I still laugh every time I think about that game. Hallman snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Several have come to mind in basketball, where many of Texas's biggest wins in the Shaka Smart era have come when the other coach would "out-Shaka" Texas in the final minutes. Several Ok St., TCU and K State games come to mind

It was hard to "out-Charlie" Charlie Strong, but Cal and Ok. State tried really hard to in 2015

Smart and Muschamp both made some bizarre decisions in SCar-UGA last season.

I hate to admit this, but I have not even watched the game. Just to know the outcome of the game is bad enough. The only game Kirby has had that reminded me of Richt.

Has there ever been a play or series of plays that have shown more Incompetence from the two head coaches then the game between Tennessee and lsu ?

Whatever that year was ,2010 maybe? The game with Dooley and miles obviously.

Wasn't even Dooley's worst job coaching at UT. That would be his Missouri fiasco in 2011. Up 21-7 at halftime...outgaining Missuori 383-64 during that first half. Even during the 2nd half, Missouri could hardly slow down UT's offense...What does Dooley do? He lets the last 40 seconds tick off of the clock to go to overtime instead of trying to score. The ball was at their own 39 yard line with plenty of time. Bray was 37-54 with over 400 yards and 4tds (zero ints) that game. If you wanted to pin down a moment when even Dooley supporters turned on him...that was it.

Look up incompetent coaching in the dictionary and you will see a photo of Bozo Botch Jones.

End thread.

I was at the LSU/Ole Miss in 2009. I was ecstatic that we had won but couldn't wrap my head around how the hell we stole that game. Don't get me wrong, OM was a good team that year and we played well enough to have a shot at the end to win it, but it definitely helped that Miles' clock management skills were non-existent that day

The championship game with Clemson was so uncharacteristic for an Alabama team with a big game on the line. So many boneheaded mistakes in addition to head scratching play calls. The fake field goal attempt and Tua with a QB keeper into the teeth of the Clemson defense on 4th and goal immediately come to mind.
