I've only seen, maybe, a couple of wrestling reads on sports media over the last year. I don't recall specifics other than PSU's dominanace.

That said, spending a penny on a non-profit sport for NIL is not the direction to take the effort.

Missouri knows they can’t hang with the states of Oklahoma and Iowa in wrestling.

Enjoy your short term ranking.

We can direct our NIL donations to any sport we want at Mizzou. We can also focus on any player at a moments notice to put together a contract.

We don't use a "bucket" system like big brand schools.

Anyone who trash talks wrestling clearly has never wrestled and probably wouldn’t last 4 hours in wrestling practice.

Wrestling is the hardest sport I’ve ever competed in, hands down.

Well in all fairness, it's not like they can brag about their football program. So all they have is criticizing our success.

Not being a dick, but that was the point.

Football is the king that outpaces all other programs.

Nebraska is a great example. They have the faithful base. When they fully figure out the process and get good coaching (that they may have), they could oppose all odds and be back in the game.

A big bucket NIL program is where the collective controls where the NIL is focused. If you're a big brand school like Bama, TX etc, this works because donors will fill that bucket fast.

But with ours, donors are in control. So even if a sport isn't a profit making sport, a few donors can make a difference by directing their donations and putting together quick contracts.

Aggies don't compete in wrestling because they can't hide their boners in their leotards.

You're new. You're going to quickly realize that a lot of our brothers here in the SEC are actually .... bitches.

Banned for talking about wrasslin that:
quote:

1. Is not fake
2. Doesn’t involve the undertaker
3. Doesn’t involve tables, chairs or ladders

Got that right. None of this diddling around.

Great job Mizzou! Wrestling is such a great sport. I wish the SEC would start it up again.

At the NCAA Championships over the last 10 years:

Mizzou has placed ahead of OU 9 of 10 years
Mizzou has placed ahead of Okie Lite 4 of 10 years
Mizzou won their last Big 12 Tourney before leaving forvthecSEC and the last 2 since wrestling in the Big the last 2 years.
Hardly “short” term success.

People can bag on Mizzou wrestling all they want, but the event at the Stifel Theater in St. Louis was beyond cool.

Mizzou Wrestling Repping The SEC

How many former Mizzou wrestlers became Pro Wrasslers?

That would be a sure fire validation of SEC rep
