Undoubtedly the people who support homosexuality here are riding the current social/political climate and would be doing just the opposite 40 or 50 years ago because they have no core beliefs in which to base their view of right and wrong.

But if some people were gay and others weren't, maybe we wouldn't overpopulate and run out of resources. There is biology to support it. Didn't God create mankind in his own likeness? How then, does none explain gays?

Jesus teaches not to judge others, lest we be judged ourselves. So a true Christian would love and respect Sam as a fellow man, and fellow sinner. A true Christian would attempt to lead him to salvation, not condemn or judge his faults.

Seriously mods, lock this thread up in a lock box welded shut and throw this thread the opposite direction of earth the next time you visit the planet pluto. This is just turning into a religious flame war and is really getting nowhere... like usual.

That's a long list.
You'd think the Father of the Sexual Revolution would hold a bit more sway for a person like yourself. But it's hard to change ideas. I get it.

There's even more suggesting otherwise.
No, there's not. There's philosophical arguments against the anecdotal evidence (like you provide). But I don't feel it provides as sound an explanation.
quote:This is an attempt to explain the evidence. It doesn't disprove anything. It's a "there's an invisible cat in the chair" argument. When someone says, "I don't see a cat," you simply respond with "that's exactly what we should expect." It's an unfalsifiable argument and I've never been a fan of those.
Both of which can be explained as one finding the will to overcome the oppression he and his envirnoment have imposed.

Some people like wieners and vaginas.
Sure. But if someone tells me they're a lesbian but they also have sex with men, it would seem that their sexuality is malleable at the very least. The percentage of people who only have sex with the same sex is extraordinarily low (1ish%).

I posted scriptures straight out of the bible. Because IM a Christian. That's MY evidence. What can you provide to debunk that? Because I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I have the word to stand on. Bible is undefeated.
The bible is filled with contradictions and historical inaccuracies. Its a great book that I think everyone should read once for culture but it doesnt have the inerrancy one would expect from a God breathed text.
Basing every decision in your life on a book with demonstrable faults seems unwise to me.

For the record...I do not care about nor condemn Michael Sam for being gay...
I just wonder why being gay has become medal worthy...why is it news? Why has popular culture pushed the envelope on recognition of homosexuality? Why?

Ok. A lot of people came out today. Why aren't there any stories about them? Why is he so special?
