No, it's not comparable to Florida.

then why do they struggle to get a great coach and Vandy and even South Carolina did not when it became opened?

Because we had a known quantity, our AD Mike Alden, who had poor relationships with three successive coaches and that became pretty well known in coaching searches. I think Mike Anderson would have eventually left even not for Arkansas because of him. Haith did leave because of him.

I think it's a top 3-4 job in the SEC.

I would agree.

Kentucky
Florida
I'd then put Arkansas ahead of us based on program history
Mizzou

Vandy is probably a similar job to us. But this year, we're willing to pay more than most schools are. Our next coach may well come in with a top 20 salary.

Haith's leaving was a good thing. Every program he's ever been has progressively gotten worse each year. Plus, he's dirty as hell - he's gotten two programs into NCAA trouble, and he hides behind his assistants for this. They get thrown under the bus while he takes another job, staying just ahead of the trouble.

Missouri is not Indiana. Has Missouri been to a final four?

Every major college basketball program, especially the successful ones, are dirty. It's the dirtiest sport there is.

I apologize. I read a post where someone said they " wouldn't compare it to Indiana". I thought it said "would"

My bad. Southern fired brain.

Like I posted on Mizzou board. I'm in Illinois grew up an Illinois fan. Right now if Illinois fires Groce I think Mizzou has the advantage. The SEC has more money and honestly putting more into sports than the B1G. them being in the Midwest profile and so close to tallent really helps.

Ppl need to get over this idea that Indiana is so much better. They're honestly very over rated, especially in a B1G that has really gone down hill the last 10 years.

Mike, which is a better job between LSU, Vandy, Mizzou, and SC

LSU

ETA. Need to get rid of Temple and Daddy Dale hands in selecting a coach and dictating the program.

I think LSU is a sleeping giant needing the right coach to wake them up. Louisiana has great talent.

Mike, which job would you take?

One that pays $2M, $2.5M, $3M or $3.5M?

Hopefully we get those two out of the way soon. I have zero faith in Alleva. Would love for him to make Drew at least consider it but my bet is on Prohm or Musselman

Dead wrong about big ten basketball. Horrible conference this year. But it's one of the best in the past decade. This year was the first year that they lost an acc challenged in like 7-8 years. Acc is a good conference

They havent had a national championship but they've had numerous teams in final game. Illinois, mich state, mich, Wisconsin, Indiana in the past decade. And whatever how many final fours.

Big ten is a pretty good conference.

I know you're trolling saying Mizzou will pay more for a coach vs LSU...which is bullshite.
