I was the state poster.
This isn’t me. My dad has Parkinson’s.
We got tickets and rooms booked. We are leaving this afternoon and his bags were packed at 6am this morning. He is pumped
That's awesome. I hope y'all have a great time. It's something that you will never forget and will always cherish.

I didn't have a team to pull for, but now I'll be pulling for State.
Well hell I do have a team to root for and I'm still going to be pulling for them too.
Improbable season, fired their coach, heart warming stories. WHAT ELSE DO YOU HAVE MSU?????????? I CAN'T TAKE MUCH MORE!

Read the MSU baseball coaching search threads if you want to balance yourself out a little more

We will forever be in debt to you DownSouth. We’ve had our differences, but thank you....thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Y'all know I just give people shite to give them shite-as I expect most of us do on here.
Do I come in hot sometimes? Yeah.
Is it ever truly mean-spirited. Not generally.
Stories like this are ones we need to look at to realize that there's more to life than division between fanbases, society, etc. and know that somewhere there's a father who will most likely be taking one last road trip to a baseball game with his son.
This is probably the final chapter to a story that began when that son was 5 or 6 years old and the father was driving a son to t-ball practice, went through adolescence and high school with trips to little league parks and American Legion ball, with the father driving the son on those baseball road trips, and maybe birthday trips to a big league game or two.
And now it's the son's turn to take his father on a road trip to a baseball game.
A fitting end to life's trip for a father and son. We should all be so fortunate or blessed to have that opportunity.

Saw a tweet today with a photo of them in the car. Son said people had been contacting him offering money to help pay trip expenses, and he wants them to donate to Alzheimers Assoc. instead. Really sweet of him. I hope they have a great trip!

That’s fricked up. This is a heartwarming story about a son’s love for his father and jokes like that aren’t funny

I agree. It was a disgusting comment.

Bowl is an Auburn fan that hates him some MSU. It’s strange. He is the only Rant poster that has ever made me physically angry. He’s now done it twice.

Yeah and you did a fine job but it’s not like seeing it yourself.

1/2 Shell and Table100 have to be the top of your list. Everything is good in Flowood though. You really want a treat and some down home cooking drive down to Holly Bush Road, take a right off Lakeland and eat at McClain Farms Or you can also try Old Fannin Resturant. It’s in the strip mall right beside Cerami’s.
I'm ahead of you, McClain's was my most recent. Excellent buffet too. I think Friday nights is BBQ and the have Seafood night also. Best to eat buffet on Saturday.
But yes, so many great restaurants, it's just unreal. That part of Mississippi pulls in people from a 400 mile radius. The Dogwood shopping plaza is gigantic. I bet women love that thing. Its like 2 miles long.
