I'm not so sure. I expected State to cover Saturday, and they didn't.

Mississippi State will get out to a fast start and go up 7-0 early. They will stop LSU and extend their lead to 10-0 at the end of the 1st quarter

After trading punts in the second quarter, State makes a mistake and turns the ball over to LSU late in the half. LSU takes advantage and cuts the lead to 10-7 at halftime.

State has a promising drive to open the 3rd quarter but fails to convert a 4th and 2 at the LSU 30. LSU hits a big play and goes up 14-10. State answers with a three and out and LSU tacks on another TD to go up 21-10.

State returns the ensuing kickoff to midfield and the 4th quarter starts. They end up settling for a long field goal after a couple of penalties stall a promising drive. 21-13 LSU.

State gets the stop they need, but can't move the ball. LSU grinds out an 8:00 drive and kicks a FG to go up 24-13, which is the final score.

State fans are pissed.
LSU fans are pissed.

Vegas is overvaluing LSU. I think the line should be -7 LSU.

well the line opened at 7.5.. that's where vegas valued it.

it's at 10 now due to the market (public $$$ coming in on Tigers). Thursday morning will be telling when most books open up their limits.

This one is going to hurt, I can already picture it in my head.

LSU covers. State always drops the ball in Baton Rouge except that one year with Dak.

That does seem like way to many points for LSU to be favored. Would have thought the line would have been under a TD with the game in Starkville.

State has won in Baton Rouge twice in the 15 years since Ole Miss last did.

Games in Starkville, anyway

I think Mississippi state is going to be bad. Real bad. The coach is a dumbass who refuses to play to the teams strengths and wants to just run all the damn time, even though the team is built to throw 50 times a game. That won’t work against an sec defense

It’s ms state….we’re 23-3 against them since the new millennium. We shut that air raid shite down last year by just rushing 3 and dropping 8 in coverage keeping everything in front. Tigers cover easily

Yeh - State's secondary is an absolute mess. We have one decent cover corner and no safeties. Zona basically did what they wanted to against us in the passing game with a poor man's J Daniels. 350 yards with 5 freaking turnovers. There was a wildcat open on every single play, after the first quarter JDL almost never threw into coverage.

JD is gonna rack up close to 600 total yards. 400+ passing and 100+ rushing.

Really think this one is gonna be a blowout. It just isn't a good matchup for State.

I dunno I think it’s a good game.

If we win I’ll be ecstatic. If we play well and lose a close one by less than two TDs I’ll feel good about a decent season

If we get blown out I’ll start really worrying

If you can contain Jayden Daniels, you will be fine.

State hasn't shown that they have the ability to throw downfield yet which is what LSU really struggled with against FSU. There's just a lack of talent at WR outside of Griffin and Rogers' arm has a hard ceiling.

We couldn't contain Jayden DeLaura last week, who is nowhere near the runner Jayden Daniels is. He's gonna have a field day.
