I know you want to break this down into a Bama/Au thing. But I'm not interested in that. I never posted in ATPB and never made a comment concerning that. I think it's sad so many that criticize it, are now in this thread celebrating the verdict. This is a losing situation for the state as a whole. I would hope, the State Ethics Commission could somehow do something with some of the testimony that came out in admonishing some of the State officials, but I'm not realistically believing anything will happen. The corruption in Montgomery will continue, and the state will continue to suffer for the personal interests of people elected and sent there.

This is the problem. The biggest problem is people continue to vote in crooked politicians. Look at fricking Birmingham and JeffCo.

There are PLENTY of crooks in this state that don't need to be here. Just like every other state.

I've lived in Mongtomery for a long time, been involved directly with the legal, buisness, and banking systems here for years.

I've witnessed what some men are capable of, and the very idea that men like Milton McGregor and Bobby Lowder are honorable men is a freaking joke.

ATPB be damned - I'm sure it's total coincidence that those men just happen to be AU men.

Exactly. And unfortunately, I don't think it's going to get better any time soon. Not so long as they keep the entitlements rolling in, pockets lined and the State Constitution remains as it is in limiting local control on issues as they are.

This is the worst part of it. This entire state is based on corrupt frickin politicians lining their pockets on a daily basis. And now it is just going to continue on like nothing ever happened.

I knew. I'm still amazed (although, I shouldn't be) at how the jury was manipulated by this bunch, without even putting up a defense.

May be the case Hunter. The problem is. Not many will believe you. You have been so obsessed with all the is Auburn, most wil think you associated it with us.

I dont live in Alabama but I think its a bad strike for you guys.

Don't get all high and mighty and act like there's never been shady characters involved with Alabama dude.
FTR: Milton didn't graduate from Auburn, he graduated from Troy and Auburn fans dislike Lowder with a passion.

No, I am sure being associated with AU made them into crooks.

It's troubling to see any Alabama citizen celebrate the outcome of this trial. I know a lot of it here is in jest though. Or at least I hope it is.

I don't think anyone is seriously celebrating this verdict. This is just a response to all of the conspiracy bullshite we have heard for the last 10 months.

We have the absolute worst legislature outside of the third world (alabama actually might qualify in some area's). The only thing that rivals the absolute shittiness of our Legislature and the people we elect is our archaic constitution that even North Korea laughs at.

Maybe because there wasn't any evidence.

I actually think messing with the ATPBers is counter-productive. They're already fueled by a hate that know no bounds. If you go in there and start rubbing it in, they might lose it completely and kill the next AU person they meet.

Back to my original post in this thread, talking about A.D.D. in society in general and lack of actual reasoning and capability to comprehend and discuss anything of value then. Those folks are free to think what they want, but they will be mistaken and look foolish when they can't link me to anything linking the two. As I stated to Jso#'s earlier today, he said something about all the Au threads I've started, but a research of my threads made, will reveal about 75 of my last 80 have had nothing to do with Au. Folks just let me get into their heads and can't shake out off season fodder for actual talk now.
