Year 1:

• Best W/L improvement of all 362 division 1 teams
• Signed the #15 national recruiting class

Going into year #2, he is expected to sign the #8 ranked recruit tomorrow and the #28 recruit soon after, and will likely finish with a Top 10 class for 2024

Let’s hear it for Coach White

UGA fans care about sports other than football??

Someone alert your AD. He only spends money on football

I’ll wait to see how good we’ll be this season, but honestly just getting to the tourney in year two would be a significant improvement for us

I can’t believe anyone would want to play in Schmegman Coliseum

Quiet as a church mouse, as powerful as well.

I don’t see Mike White, who couldn’t get it done with more resources and athletic department buy in at Florida, magically turning UGA into a basketball power.

Because your team was horrible the previous season... Any improvement is a great compared to that monstrosity, but it doesn't make your team good. You still finished 6-12 in the SEC last year. And will still finish below .500 this season

If Mike White gets that team turned around and Georgia flush with cash they could build a new one. All it takes is the AD department to care about baseball and basketball too and they could be legit in both.

Unfortunately, they are playing for Mike White and won't sniff tournament success or an NBA draft slot

Your problem is Florida's getting it done and our getting it done aren't close the same thing.

Richt "couldn't get it done" at Georgia but would probably get a statue at Ole Miss for the same accomplishments.

He’s a solid coach for UGA. He just kind of hit his ceiling here and was best for both parties to move on (perhaps similar to Richt leaving UGA).

This is the rational and correct take

I remember when Tom Crean, also going in to his second season in Athens, signed a top 10 recruiting class that included the #1 overall recruit in the country.

And yet UGA could only manage to go .500 with Anthony Edwards
