if i were black i would find that pic offensive but the cancel culture slits their own throat when pushing these banishments bc now you will see the Seuss pictures everywhere all the time ...i meen i never read Sneetches of some of the other less known Seuss books ..i read green eggs and ham and cat in hat and the lorax ... those were all written as Dr .Seuss was on acid

When you look at two alien monkey type creatures, what makes you automatically think that the illustrator is depicting black humans?

What class is the giant bird creature since we are making things up?

Statement from Dr. Seuss Enterprises
March 2, 2021
Today, on Dr. Seuss’s Birthday, Dr. Seuss Enterprises celebrates reading and also our mission of supporting all children and families with messages of hope, inspiration, inclusion, and friendship.
We are committed to action. To that end, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, working with a panel of experts, including educators, reviewed our catalog of titles and made the decision last year to cease publication and licensing of the following titles: And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat’s Quizzer. These books portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.
Ceasing sales of these books is only part of our commitment and our broader plan to ensure Dr. Seuss Enterprises’s catalog represents and supports all communities and families.
I didn't make the conclusion on my own that they were representing people; the company that owns the rights to the books did. I simply referenced their decision.
I will say that simply updating the artwork while keeping it in Seuss' style would have been much better than banning the books entirely.

In no way, shape, or form is that picture portraying that. Those aren’t even humans lol

Then why do white supremacists vote Republican?
Not that it has anything to do with my point, which went right over your head, but I don't know any white supremacists, so I am not sure, but it is pretty easy to surmise that the racial makeup of the Republican party is more white than the racial makeup of the Democrat party.
Do you need to know why I think most black nationalists vote Democrat, or can you figure that one out for yourself? What about all the misandrists? Why do they vote Democrat?
You guys are great at moving the goalposts and gaslighting. I just want to the logic you apply on conservatives to also apply to liberals.

please . they are african /black sneetches with big rings pierced through their noses ...i dont think they are meant to be aliens ... BUT, its like archie bunker ... you would never see All in The Family on the TV today but back in the 70's or whatever Archie could drop racial bombs on george jefferson and meathead michael and it was not really frowned upon ...Today,like it or not , it is ...

Well, that explains a lot.
You know that Fahrenheit 451 was supposed to be a warning, not a how-to manual.

All you have to do is color the non human looking dudes turquoise or orange and republish the book for crissakes. You don’t have to stop printing it
This is all nonsense.

The part you are leaving out is George Jeffereson ragged on white folks as much as anyone ragged on black folks. It was juxtaposition comedy and funny. Fred Sanford did the same on Sanford and Son.

Why are we arguing about a controversy that doesn't exist? Shits like arguing about Vanderbilts ten Football National Championships
