I think Oklahoma beats them bad like last year and if that happens, anything is possible

The Alabama fans might pack his bags for him

Wait… you think if Michigan takes Drink, you are stealing Kiffin? He left Ole Miss for LSU. You think he’s gonna leave LSU for Missery?

I'm guessing you are straight off the short bus....?

WTF are you talking about? Who implied that? That type of delusional thinking only occurs in the minds of LSU tards...

Why? Bama is just like everyone else now. They had the best cheating apparatus in the country for decades, now everyone can do it

Whether he actually would go, would be another matter). And you think buying houses and money are a concern of his at this point. He wants prestige. Something that has eluded him. Alabama is more prestigious than LSU. Only a fool would think otherwise.

And he now has his best opportunity to build his legacy his way, and not have to follow in the footsteps of others.

Establishing prestige is not the same as helming the most storied program in college football history.

Who knows what he thinks? Doubt all this happens anyway (ie Kalen leaving Alabama), but, likely it will happen in a year or two. And then, well, we shall see.

They will wind up with a NFL co-ordinator, probably Adam Stenavich of the Packers.

That’s would be the only implication from your post and link. It says nothing about Kiffin. It talks about Drink. So the only reason LSU would need to “hang on” would be if Drink went to Michigan then yall would go after Kiffin. Or could you not read the article you posted that didn’t talk about Kiffin being a possibility for the job?

They’ll hire an Alabama assistant. All schools want to make sure they have experience at the best CFB program

If they were smart, they would go for Glenn Schumann...Georgia defensive coordinator. Dude has won multiple Natty's and learned under both Saban and Smart....how do you get better than that? And I dont have to tell you how good his defense just did against Alabama. Plus he's only 35 with a lot of room to grow.

If Marcus Freeman were to leave Notre Dame....Glenn Schumann would be the guy I hope they would hire to replace him. Marcus Freeman was a defensive coordinator just like Schumann but Schumann learned from the best in Saban and Smart and he was Smarts first hire when he took the Georgia job and made Schumann the youngest on field coordinator in the SEC. Smart said Schumann was his #1 priority when he took the Georgia job. I cant believe no SEC teams are looking at this guy. Ole Miss should have hired him immediately when Kiffin left. Even the Philadelphia Eagles interviewed him to be their defensive coordinator and he turned it down to stay at Georgia.

As far as Mizzou fans "melting" if Eli left...you might be surprised.

I could care less if Drink leaves. He gets paid over $10 million/year so we should be able to find a decent replacement for that kind of money. Most likely would be an upgrade.

Drink's a great mouthpiece for selling Mizzou. Would be a great AD probably. But he is a very average football coach.

Seems like he needs to hire a good OC, or a QB developer. I think he could be playoff type coach with the right coordinator hires

I don't want to lose him because he's pretty good at recruiting and working the NIL/portal nonsense, and he has the team playing solid most weeks now even against higher ranked teams, but he obviously hasn't been able to take Mizzou to the CFP level largely because he can't beat higher ranked teams.

I would be disappointed if he left but not distraught. If a program like Michigan wants him, I assume they will get him. On the other hand, I'd be surprised if Michigan settles for him, but I don't know what else is out there now. Desperate times.

They're paid Drink a ton of money to go 8-4 this season.

And then liked it so much, they gave him a raise.

Its amazing how people forget hiring coordinators is not a bad idea....like I said I would take Schumann at ND in a heartbeat if Freeman left so lets start there....ND hires Freeman when he was a coordinator....how is he doing? Natty Championship game last year...#2 recruiting class coming in next year and building a great program. Georgia.....hired a coordinator in Kirby Smart....how is he doing? Ohio State....hired a coordinator in Day....how is he doing? Oregon hired a coordinator in Lanning...how is he doing? Oklahoma hired a coordinator in Venables...how is he doing?
