It’s not as if Miami completely shut down those two teams and just handed the games away via turnovers.

SMU had 365 yards passing vs Miami.

Louisville passed for 248 and rushed for 119 vs Miami.

I'm rooting for SEC teams this CFP. So yeah, I'm gonna root for the Ags. It will actually hurt the state economy for them to be super depressed for a quarter if they go 0-1 in the CFP.

But I really would like to see OM do well.

SMU scored 20 in regulation, 1 TD being a 1 play 26 yard drive after a Beck int. Louisville won playing west coast, short fast accurate passes that took the pass rush out of the game. Beck also had 4 INTs.

A&M's best chance imo is adopting the style Louisville used and forcing Miami's LB's to tackle Concepcion/Craver in space, which is really their defenses weakness. The issue is I'm not sure Reed can be consistently accurate and/or is able to read defenses quickly/well enough for it to work. Aside from QB scrambling, you can forget about running on them. Their DL is 2 280+ 5 techs, a 335 NT and a 305 lb 3 tech. It's built to stop the run

Geez, who yeeted the tea-sip Nuclear Bat-Signal™ into orbit?
A harmless thread of Aggie support from a Gator has been converted into a circle-jerk of castrated cattle bros.
Your support of Texas A&M has me verklempt, y’all.

I'll be pulling hard for A&M. I hate two programs with a passion...ND and Miami.

Probably the best first round game. Aggies will have a battle.

While I basically agree, I think Oklahoma/Alabama will be a really good one, too.

Completely agree.
It’s gonna be a great one.
But it loses some of its luster due to being a rematch of a relatively recent regular season game.

thread titled miami vs texas a&m. brings legitimate discourse into thread. aggie results to insults because he doesn't like the analysis. sad.

It gives Oklahoma a chance to prove the first game was for real, and Alabama to prove that it was a fluke. With all the turnovers, and Alabama having gained far more yards there has to be some question as to the result of the game...in my mind, anyway.

I'm looking forward to both games, and could not say the same for first round games last year. You guys need to slap Miami around big time!

The NFL is on later that day at 5, which would take up all the potential viewers

The yardage is significant.

But that’s good insight. West Coast style offense with quick passes. Not seven step drop backs, waiting for slow, developing routes to open up. Negate the pass rush.

But WC offense does have a heavy run game component. And I doubt A&M will abandon the run. It was a mistake to go away from it vs Texas when they were averaging 5 yards per carry. A&M has speed to burn, and can wear down those fat DL by gassing them by the second half.

I have no idea why Klein has not called more QB bootlegs the season.

Reed isn’t bad at throwing on the run, and he can get you 5 yards just by juking one defender.

You know a great man once said "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics"

All of what you said about the matchup may be true, but there is no way to quantify or measure the passion of 110,000 screaming aggies at Kyle Field. To be clear, I'm not an Aggie fan but the home field advantage they have is pretty damn good.

Miami has been inconsistent and the QB prone to mistakes when rattled. I'm betting one or two things go wrong for the Canes and it snowballs from there.
