Mett has actually looked very good all night. His stats should be better. There were multiple drops.

Defense needs to pick it up though.

IDGAF about the statline. Mett looked great tonight and that was even with all the drops.

For the first game, I was more than pleased with the offense and Mett's development. Not what our SEC friends wanted to see, I'm afraid.

Mett's performance was much better than the stats indicate. He was confident in the pocket and decisive. The passing game operated as if they expected to complete those passes. The only ones he really missed were the 20+ yard passes. Most everything else he was money.

He'll clean it up and he'll be dominant by the time Bama rolls around.
