He is a nerdy, hardcore Christian. Many of them are weird.

Its certainly autism wrapped in a form of religious cult.

His Heisman speech should be interesting.

We’re used to seeing fake and polished.

He’s genuine.

He’s the kind of kid that got excited about extra corn on pizza day in middle school.

Would much rather see Mendoza give glory to God than Pavia grabbing his junk while his family twerks in the audience

Just watched the interview, I didn’t think it was that weird. Some parts kinda but he seems like a good dude. Hope he wins the Heisman.

He is definitely a goober but seems like a good kid. Apparently he leads a bible study group for Indianas team, refreshing to see a star player thats not a complete arse

The Indiana program had not won a game against Ohio State since 1988.

The interview displayed a 22 year old kid who was dealing with a sense of both elation and relief.

And he probably also realized that he had just tipped a boat load of Heisman votes in his favor.

The same was true with Cignetti when he joined the post game panel. You could see it in his face... both elation and relief.

The B1G is weird period. Remember Ryan Day after finally beating Michigan?

They all seem like WWE characters. The broadcasts are f*cking corny too.

I’m not a southern elitist. I enjoy the coasts.
But make no mistake, the Midwest is weird AF.

He has been doing national interviews all year and is pretty humorous and articulate. Pat McAfee, Urban Meyer, and a bunch of others cant get enough of the guy.
He seemed pretty normal on the McAfee show today.
I am a bit jaded on the leader of men angle as my fanbase spent every day trying to rationalize the rather obvious bi-polar crackhead antics of Johnny Manziel because he did a lot of loud dude stuff in the media.

Nerd or not . . .guy got stuff done this year so something is working.

Good post Ag. Yep I'd take a kid like this as my team leader over irresponsible smoke it up, shock jock types. These types fade pretty fast when their BS catches up to them. This guy will be around a long time assuming the injury bug stays away. Hope nothing but the best for him, well until/if they play Tech.

Well, at least those in the Midwest know there are 2 genders and have a clue as to which one they are.

F* the E/W coast. Talk about weird and getting weirder by the day.

How do you think Lane will act if he actually wins a championship?

Please save me a seat for that event...

I am with you on this one. It is odd to see someone claiming folks from Iowa or Ohio are weird compared to folks from the Bay Area or New Jersey.

Interesting and random pivot. No one goes to party (or do anything) in the midwest, unless born there or forced by work. Sorry if that hurts your feelings :)
