I could be wrong but I think LSU did that in order to be accredited as a tiger sanctuary. There was a "checklist" needed to be done to the habitat.

Awesome awesome animal...I wonder if that cat would play with my two awesome older Golden Retrievers? They would lick him to death and he'd be soaking wet. They love cats, guinea pigs and of course people.
