Haven't driven by there recently but it must be if he's already there. Even though he's on the inside portion they said he wouldn't be transported until construction wrapped up.

I'd be surprised if we ever saw that again. Could you imagine if Mike accidentally got out of the cage in a stadium with 102,000 people? 102,000 steaks with eyes

Start acclimating him for games while he's small, get him cage trained and used to noise and crowds. It's the coolest tradition in college football. Don't let him get used to acting like a King and refusing to go in his cage to football games. Nip it in the bud while he's a kitty and let the fans enjoy him for the awesome mascot he will be.

Vet school is doing away with that. No more stadium visits.

No. They made that decision awhile back.

Why? There's plenty of live mascots hitting the field

None quite as deadly, though

Gorgeous animal. I may talk shite about LSU, but there is nothing (logical) anyone can say to knock this tradition. Dude will live like a king, while providing great info for his species.

No joke. In general anything that pisses PETA off is a good thing. It's a rare day when PETA does something a sane person would agree with.

Next time you see a PETA-head, tell him to stop drinking water because you're destroying fish houses.

I hope Harvey gets to become Mike VII, that is a cool experience even for visiting fans. Children especially love to see tigers.

I was there today. They were finishing putting in the plants etc. The water isn't in the pool yet but I'm thinking that wouldn't take much time. The tree and the cool/warm rock they put in look great!

He was donated. LSU does not believe in the for profit selling/buying of Tigers. We haven't purchased a tiger since the 50's

He was donated, as the last several have been. LSU hasn't purchased a Tiger since 1958. You know we broke
