If you have the opportunity to go to Alabama during the Saban era, YOU GO TO ALABAMA. Anyone who is dumb enough to choose another program over what equates to the HARVARD of college football, gets no sympathy from me.

Saban is the greatest coach in college football history, running the greatest dynasty in college football history. You don't say no to that.

Big facts

This is a pathetic post.

I’m sorry you find it too hard to get to the second post of the second thread on the first page. Maybe you should consider getting in a GED program or perhaps get tested for early onset Alzheimer’s because nobody else finds that hard at all.

You just straight up confirmed what I said. In order to get this information you suggested, that person has to:

Open up the Alabama forum. Guess that it's the 2nd thread(wasn't said until now). Then in a thread that has over 600 PAGES of replies, find something on the 2nd page, where there is absolutely no indication that it's going to be there.

And that's only after you gave directions on how to find it.

The rest of college is quickly going to realize how bad of an idea immediate eligibility transfers were with regard to creating parity, and that Nick Saban is on the absolute war path right now.

Anyone who thought this would be beneficial to anyone but the elites of college football was ignorant. People outside have been complaining about parity in the sport for years but, for whatever reason, actually thought this was a good idea. Where did people exactly think blue chip players would want to go if they didn’t have to sit out a year when transferring? And what did they think coaches at elite programs were going to do? Same thing with NIL. It’s going to help the power elites way more. It’s like they’re actively trying to destroy any semblance of a competitive balance in college football.

Not only is this new rule going to hurt those programs outside the top 20-25, it's going to crush G5 and JUCOs into complete irrelevance. Marginal prospects out of high school are also going to suffer when coaches can just recruit from the transfer portal to fill gaps with experienced and better scouted college players as opposed to taking risks on those high school kids.

Spot on.

Funny thing is Saban is catching a lot of flack for racking in the talent yet he was one of the few that had the stones to say this es exactly what was going to happen.

He’s the one whose grandmother was visited by O at the nursing home. I think Saban also met her

McKinley is staying at A&M. Jimbo is a little upset with Alabama.

It was never in doubt. He’s going to be the focal point of our DL in 2022. Playing with Leal this year is going to make life easy.

Can a Bama fan chime in with how many forward counters y’all actually have? Because it seems like a crazy number.

This Tide FB Recruiting & Roster thread's first page documents how all 2018-2021 players count toward the 25/85 limits (summary) and includes pertinent NCAA Bylaws and tutorials.

of course he is. this was the biggest example of someone pulling something out of their arse and people just assumed it to be true cause it was on the internet

this didnt even get any discussion on A&M boards. thats how little fear there ever was in mckinley transferring

Depends what you mean by doubt, I guess. Folks were tampering, doing their damnedest to get an out of state freshmen to leave his school, that's for sure.

Trophies dont mean shite, it is money that talks.
Is that why A&M doesn't have the number 1 class in the country year in and year out?

Because Bama is outbidding them? If it's all about money and not trophies then Alabama has been kicking A&Ms teeth in bidding wise for over a decade. So why wouldn't they want to get in a bidding war with someone they consistently beat?

Tampering is the new normal. Coaches will have to re-recruit their best players every year, as well as incoming recruits.

Tampering is a real problem. With the ability to basically pay players for their likeness. Money may be all that matters going forward.

Just like the NFL, free agents are going to follow the money. I hate it. Not really college ball once they are all professionals. Hope we don't kill the golden goose.

And frick Saban for pulling this crap. But hope we have our checkbook out as well.

He seems to have cemented his career at aTm. Why would he want to transfer to Bama and be “ in the rotation,” or worse, a backup?
