You know Florida is in a rough spot when Ole Miss, which is facing a bowl ban, is a more attractive program.

Ole Miss is a better program comparing head to head records.

Maybe moving across the country to a smaller, quieter environment will clear this young mans head.

Here's to hoping he sorts things out and uses his talent to make a lot of money

I can understand him decommitting from Florida, but Ole Miss is a weird choice. There had to be other schools interested.

He didn't have a whole lot of options. Ole Miss was showing him love and Mullen/UF had more or less made it clear we were going after other QBs.

I don't know if it's his arrogance, or he just thinks he's so good he can get 2-3 stars and win with them,

Well, the last flarder HC said he could win with his dog at QB. Too bad his QB turned out to be a bitch in heat and every opposing LB dry-humped him in the backfield.

yes he did, the timing of this sounds like a mutual split.

The head coach doesnt go visit a recruit to split with him.

No, but there's more than 1 way to split from a commitment. Mullen did the same thing with Tyler Russell when he took the MSU job.

Russell was State's prized recruit and Mullen went straight to an in-home and told Tyler to either crap or get off the pot. Tyler was from a State family and had been a Bulldog all of his life, but Mullen raised a lot of eyebrows from MSU folks who saw it as Dan trying to run off Tyler. Russell himself even said that he thought Dan was trying to test him.

And? We would have taken his commit, but Mullen has been going after other QBs since the moment he stepped foot in Gainesville.

Your head coach doesnt visit a kid in his house unless he wants him. We all lose recruits. It happens. Just dont spin it

I'm not saying he wouldn't have taken him, but if Corral had never been a commit he wouldn't have been someone Mullen looked at. The interest level was not anywhere close to the same as the last staff and I'm sure Corral didn't feel the love he had been from Mac.

That's like saying the Giants are a better org than the Patriots.

He was scheduled to fly to UF today for his OV before last night. You don't have an in-home and then an OV with a recruit that you're parting ways with.

Mullen was indecisive with him. Our staff has been consistent with him since July. This has more to do with coaching turnover than anything else.

Agreed.

This is SOP for Mullen and recruiting. Get ready for plenty of head scratchers, Gator Fan. You will love his development of 3*s, and hate his allergy to 5*s

Worked out pretty well, no?

Considering his record at MSU?

I came to trust Dan, to be honest.

Dan Mullen isn't Paul Simon, and this isn't one of 50 ways to leave a QB recruit.

You call them on the phone, or have one of your underlings do it, instead of wasting time and resources flying to see him.
