To be fair, I would imagine it’s pretty difficult to recruit basketball players to BYU in the age of NIL.

Has it been made official that he's hired? My jinxing abilities prohibits me from laughing at others before anything official.

His offense looks fun? He did beat Kansas this year. I don't know if he can recruit. He was Jeff Sheppards roommate in college... Maybe Reed comes back?

Trying to talk myself into this.

While at BYU and NIL, I guess it would be hard to give kids $ while having 10 wives to buy handbags for.

When Kentucky’s Coach can’t match the resume of Mr. Matthew McMahon…

Pope was absolutely the right hire. People who don’t agree are just trolling or don’t know basketball

Dennis Gates has a better resume than Kentucky's coach.

I think the metric is not being a Kentucky fan.

Based on the fact they weren’t getting Donovan or Hurley. Blue bloods, especially in basketball traditionally hire within the family. They are familiar with the program and understand the expectations and are passionate about that schools basketball. There is no “Metric” when it comes to high profile jobs like this in my opinion. Schools like Duke, Carolina have hired almost strictly by this method.Im not saying you are wrong in any way, but do you have a short list of coaches who would be a better fit outside of Donovan or Hurley?
