I like her a lot, but did not appreciate her take on the controversy at Mizzou. Like the rest of the media, she immediately assumed the protests at Mizzou were righteous rather than based on lies, unproven claims and exaggerations. In fairness to her, she was prob encouraged by higher ups to frame it that way.

What is the all time wins record?

If you count D1/FBS coaches, it's either Paterno (409) or Bowden (377), depending upon if you want to make the argument that the 112 vacated wins (which were later restored) shouldn't count.

Either way, Saban is at 219 wins currently, 158 shy of Bowden. Even if you assume that Saban goes undefeated for the next 10 seasons (including this one), he's still 9 games short of tying Bowden.

If you discount Saban's first year at Bama (which had wins vacated), Saban has averaged 12.5 wins per year. If he is somehow able to maintain this pace, it's going to take him 13 more seasons (including this one) to pass Bowden. It would take him 16 more seasons to pass Paterno. It would take another 22 seasons for him to pass John Gagliardi, the coach with the most overall wins at 489.

In sum, as much as I would personally like to see him do so, I think it's unlikely that he'd even pass Bowden.

She handled this with great class, as a professional should. On the other hand, it would have been classic if she had stepped up chest to chest with him and just towered over him silently. Or put her hands on her knees and bent down as if she were speaking to a child. Or put her left hand on top of his head as she pretends to dunk on him with her right.

You just know the make-up sex Saban had with her was amazing.

I feel like she’s about a foot taller than him.

A lot more class than Saban

Based on what you moron? Or is it you just can’t stand that he whips your team’s arse every year?

Nick Saban has done more to help people around him his entire life than most of us could ever dream of doing.

It’s time some of you envious and bitter LSU fans just go ahead and make the blanket statement that you hate the man because he left your school and has made himself legendary at Alabama. Outside of that fact Nick Saban is by all evidences a man of character and integrity who had enough balls to admit he was wrong and apologized.

If you want true classlessness in a football coach, look further north to Columbus, OH.

And a dishonest spoiled brat. Saban pretended not to know Maria's name because he was humiliated by having to apologize. Nick really is a piece of shite.

Sure because people who are "humiliated by having to apologize" totally make a phone call to apologize within 30 minutes or an hour of their actions.

Sure he is. But he is also a passionate person. It's his personality. Some people want more fire and passion from their coaches, some want less. Fact is, it's his fire and passion that makes him successful.

REC: "This interview casts a bad light onto Lord Saban. You need to cut it off immediately. It'd be a shame if you ran afoul of a flight of stairs or a salad. We're just saying."

Maria: "Nick Saban is the best person ever. He's so dreamy and kind."

REC: "Good girl."

If Corch Saban was 15 years younger, I bet he would have slipped her his phone number and wore that arse out like he did with Jill Arrington.
