Malzahn is too predictable, doesn't get enough out of red zone opportunities and the offensive line isn't good enough to blow out a good team. We will find out if LSU is a good team Saturday.

That is a bit harsh. He is probably slightly above average.

Nah Stidham, what cost you a playoff spot was 3 defeats waiting on 4. No team with multiple losses has made a final 4 playoff slot. If you had managed to beat LSU you still have 2 losses hanging around your neck. Same 4 schools make the playoffs. If the playoffs expand to 8 then a 2 loss SEC team will have a good case. You are what your record says you are. Unbeaten with good opening win this year and a real shot. And a 4 loss good club last year.

Still won’t make up for Ed Orgeron taking a CFP away from Auburn in 2017.

Pressure? Take UT off your schedule for a few years, and then you can talk about pressure. How many times have you backed your way in now not even winning your own division with a soft, rested SEC schedule?

How about flipping sides? UGA and AU switch sides and see which will do better from there on?

We were ranked #2 and a lock for the playoff with multiple losses.

No you were not. When the playoff teams were chosen you were not even in consideration. Had you beaten LSU you would have still been 11-2 same as Ohio St who just won their conference and was not chosen since they lost to Iowa and OU. So the very best you could have hoped for was first team out instead of OSU. They had one good loss to OU and one bad one to Iowa but they won their conference. You did not win the conference but had 2 good losses.

Turns out the pickers were true experts and knew what they were doing. 4th team in was the class of the group plus they scorched #1 who beat you and sacked your Qb close to a dozen times. And 2 and 3 seeds played a barn burner. Best way forward for AU this year is lose only to UGA and then beat them in the champ game. Or win them all.

You seem to forget how the SEC played out. No school that suffered the beating AU did would be allowed within a hundred miles of a playoff site. They got their tail kicked good

The loss to LSU was meaningless to AU.

It certainly didn't appear that way to the fans who traveled to Baton Rouge and were hitting the exits looking depressed after LSU had their biggest comeback in SEC history.
