Mac does a better job at that than anyone coming out this year. You clearly haven't watched him.

Watched every game of his career boss. Point being that evaluating how a QB will read NFL defenses is at best an educated guess. Even for the people paid 6 figures to do nothing but watch qb film.

Can’t afford it

Apparently you can’t afford the brain capacity it takes to read. I mean, your logic just totally fails, man. If having an NFL team is based on a state “being poor” then Louisiana shouldn’t have one given how poor it is. The fact is, there are tons of factors that go into having an NFL team.

I would like the Bears to pick him up. He has the right football IQ which I believe is the most important aspect of the pro QB game. If he takes care of his body he could do real well in the NFL.

One factor being the state can’t afford to support it.

Again, if the state being poor were a key factor, Louisiana wouldn’t have one. You can’t tell me you think Louisiana is in a great financial position. Based on what I posted, Louisiana is poorer than Alabama.

In other words, you don’t know why

Why? Check out Sabans track record for quarterbacks when they get to the NFL. I wouldn’t call it stellar.

And? Does that mean he’s 100% going to be a bust? I’ve seen this “argument” so many times as if the majority of Saban’s QBs are expected to be great. The reality is most of these guys were never expected to be good in the first place.

Plus what school is pumping out NFL QBs besides OU? Even for them, your logic means the Browns shouldn’t have selected Mayfield because OU didn’t produce a pro bowl QB in forever. Texas Tech always has guys with big passing stats that do nothing in the NFL, I guess Mahomes should not have been drafted. I guess Henry shouldn’t have been drafted given Bama’s RBs lack of production at that time?

Bama fans get mad when I say it but..I have a lot of doubts on him. He was behind the best Oline. Had the WRs. Had the best RB.

Very easy to look good. He had all day to throw. His pocket window was absurdly clean all year. Play action was always effective. It doesn't mean he isn't a decent QB..but I do not think once talent level is more even he will shine.

There was a study about 10 years that looked at the buying power of medium to major cities across the country and what professional sports leagues they could support based on what they did or did not already have. Birmingham was one of just a small handful of cities that could support a pro franchise in any of the leagues except Major League baseball. According to the study, Birmingham could support the NFL, NBA, or NHL.

Birmingham made somewhat of a push in the late 90s to get an NFL franchise with Buffalo being the strongest possibility to be replaced when they were struggling somewhat with the Bills at the time. That was when Birmingham voters rejected the MAPS project that would have included a dome stadium.

Many would be suprised to learn that as recently as the early 2000s Birmingham was home to 7 Fortune 500 headquarters with Caremark, Healthsouth, Regions Bank, Southtrust Bank, AmSouth Bank, Compass Bancshares, and Protective Life Corporation. HealthSouth dropped out of the 500 after the scandal and FBI raid, Caremark relocated, and all but Regions Bank were acquired with the wave of bank mergers in the early 2000s. The area still has the buying power for a pro franchise but the time to get one has passed most likely.

Mac Jones was throwing to arguably the greatest collection of WR's in the history of college football. Mac Jones will carry a clip board in the NF unless he stops eating Little Debbie cakes with Saban.

It’s obvious to everyone except Bama fans. Just like Mccarron and all the other Saban QBs. Tua is the only one you could at least see some potential to stick around but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
