No mention of woody there.

Absolutely conflict of interest . I said to my spouse , Kelly is more concerned with Nuss draft position than winning games !
Why would sharing an agent make Kelly want to promote Nuss's career over the welfare of the team?
Kelly doesn't get an extra benefit.

This isnt true. Kelly wanted more than Sloan gone and Woodward told him no, then they argued
This thread is great evidence that most people don't read

Possible, I just don't believe what the article laid out.

This. Reading comprehension in this thread is very low.
I don't really believe that tidbit in the Athletic article nonetheless. Woody claiming his hand was forced because Kelly wanted to make MORE staff changes :rotflmao:

imagine how witty he thought that was.
Buck lets the moment breathe more. I think he’s one of the best.

Nantz sucks. Loves to hear himself talk.
re: How is the LIV not bleeding money?
Posted by MasterofTigerBait on 6/29/25 at 8:32 pm to Themicah86
What drives be crazy about the LIV-PGAT discourse, is the kind of centrist view that they will merge. What has LIV innovated other than paying golfers absurd guaranteed money? The team golf thing isn’t compelling.
The PGA tour still seems to be trucking along. Sure I wish Bryson was competing there, but beyond that, whatever.
Honestly the designated no cut or limited field events the PGAT started in response to LIV are less compelling than full field

you’d have more of a gripe if he finished bottom and picked up a guaranteed check imo.
And, as far as Open quals, take it up with the R&A

re: Would you hedge this bet?
Posted by MasterofTigerBait on 5/30/25 at 8:56 pm to Hiphopanonymous
Only hedge a bet if you are overexposed or the money is significant.
Unless you luck into a great line, the hedge will eat into the expected value of your bet.

I hate Jim Nantz on the call. Was elated when he left CBB.

8 million is a lot more than was initially suggested in LSU media…

I’d prefer not to see Beard at an SEC program with more resources

McMahon had 3 years to do whatever. He’s basically a lame duck. I hate it.

re: Question for the McMen
Posted by MasterofTigerBait on 3/29/25 at 7:50 pm to LSUChamps03
quote:
1- Wade’s downfall at LSU was unfortunate. Arguments that he was rightfully fired and that LSU should have stuck with him both have merit.
2- McMahon was a coach who had interest from other schools. Namely, he was South Carolina’s first choice. He had a good resume, and was not considered a bad hire.
3- Wade rehabbed his career in a big way at McNeese and scored a job at a school that is not LSU. He never is nor was he ever going to return to LSU. The Wade book is closed, we should leave it on the shelf.
4- McMahon has proven to be a bad hire. He’s recruited better than I thought he would early on, but he’s developed no one and his in-game coaching has produced losing basketball. A 14-45(?) SEC record speaks for itself.
5- Woodward should have cut his losses and moved on from McMahon. For whatever reason he decided to keep McMahon it puts LSU in a lame duck season and only delays the inevitable. There is little chance that McMahon turns this around. The overwhelming likelihood is that we’ll be starting from scratch next year at this time, a year later than we should have.
The NIL stuff is great, but we’re only going up to the level everyone else has been. Still others are ahead. Most kids are going to choose to play at a school they’ve seen play in the tournament, where they have a reasonable belief they can play for a championship. That’s not LSU currently.
The End
Agree with 95% of this. And the 5% doesnt matter. Well done sir.
