That's fair, but admittedly I watched it and that wasn't my takeaway from it.
That's a pretty decent salary, but it's true she's probably one of the highest paid players in the league. I seriously doubt most of them can just do this for a living.
The WNBA makes roughly what a minor leaguer (AA) makes if they're not in the league for rehab or a rookie just building some experience before transitioning to the majors.
Is that "fair" when compared to, say, the NBA? The NBA makes a lot more money, so it's simple supply and demand. It looks like a lot of WNBA players have treated Caitlyn Clark like a pariah, but her popularity is - at least for now - bolstering the entire league. If it were to boost it to NBA levels, then hey - good for them. It won't happen, but still.
I guess I would ask the question, "What *IS* her point?"
