It's not like Bama is known for good QB play and slinging the ball all around either.
Coach Saban wants smart Game Managers, he'll never let 'em sling the ball around. Which is perfectly fine with me, I like to see them pound the ball.

Route running and blocking. Those are big to NFL teams, it also doesn't hurt that LSU has Landry and Odell in the NFL.

Maybe there's something to the recent NFL success there...but I don't know. I'm thinking it's because we baby them so well, they don't lose any years of their life from having to go across the middle. We never throw across the middle, everyone knows that. Fewer concussions, not as much getting lit up when raggedy-arm floats one out.

Also, we do have a couple guys at QB who will likely be better than what we've had the past 4 years. If you believe the hype that we will suck, then we'll be behind and throwing a lot.

Well, it's not just receiver and dbs. Louisiana has always produced as much or more NFL talent per capita than any other state. We are just a talent rich state in football and really athletics in general. We produce a lot of talent and will always. Consider the amount of talent within our footprint, texas, the gulf coast and Louisiana as a whole, and pair that with LSU being THE school in our state, and you have a dangerous program with scary potential. There's a reason teams come to Louisiana to recruit. It's not only because they want the players themselves, but other coaches want to steal recruits from LSU so they can take talent away from us as well. There could be a kid that is under the radar nationally here that is a top notch player. Athletes grow on trees here, theyre seriously everywhere. This is why we need to lock down this state once again, and that is what Orgeron is trying to do. When we accomplish that. We will be in contention for titles year in and year out. Whether he is the one to do it is yet to be seen, but there will be someone who comes along that will get it done and we will be back.

If you can catch a gator with your bare hands you can catch a ball.

Our 3rd string RB is usually better than State's starter. This year will be no different. Last time I checked, Terrence Magee, Alfred Blue, Kenny Hilliard and Stevan Ridley were all on NFL rosters despite never being a primary RB at LSU other than Ridley in his Jr. season. Spencer Ware and Derrius Guice were backups at LSU. Ware is an NFL starter and Guice will be.

.....meanwhile MSU has ZERO RB's in the NFL.

Edwards-Helaire is a damn good back. He's 5'9" 215 and is quick and has great elusiveness. He can catch too. He and brossette have to step up this year and curry will get playing time too. I expect clyde to be our main rb though. He's going to be good.

He is Dalton Hilliard 2.0

brossette

If he is fully back from the injury, he will be a beast. Guy rushed for almost 10,000 yds/150 TDs in high school.

Too bad there are no trades in college football.

If there were we would have 5 NC since 2007. Trade for a QB

I love that size back...fire plug.
I wish Saban would go after that type more than the tall guys who go down at the LOS when touched below thr waist.

Probably something to do with the fact that the most popular receiver in the NFL went to LSU and is always repping the university.

With all due respect, I’m really not sure why a top receiver would pick LSU. It’s almost like a top pocket passer picking GA Tech.

Then I guess you dont know Ensminger. Some of the comments on him from past employers was he excelled in the passing game but he threw the ball too much for some. As for QB's we have one with >15K yds passing in HS and one that is a Hurts type guy but has a 70MM cannon for an arm. We just dont know how accurate he is in game situations yet.

LSU goes into next season without a signature RB and a dozen good WR's so with all those things in play you might expect LSU to throw the ball a little more next season...

They always have great recievers and can’t get a qb to save their life. QBs actuall are worse when they leave LSU than they were when they arrived on campus at 18yo. It blows my mind!

This is false we haven’t had a truly elite QB recruit in a long time. I think it has a lot to do with there not being that many 5 star truly elite QBs that come out of Louisiana for some reason. There’s been plenty of 4 stars and such but no players like Ryan Perriloux who was the best QB recruit in the country his year have come out of Louisiana and gone to LSU. That’s just my take on the LSU qb situation.

I think that Brennan or Narcisse can be very good with Narcisse having a higher upside believe it or not so who knows. So if one of those guys gets it going we should be a great passing team but like every other year who the hell knows?

IRL Seth Williams, Matthew Hill, Anthony Schawrtz, and Shedrick Jackson are the top WR class in the country.

I don't get it. LSU has everything in place to win.
Don't have an SEC Championship caliber Offensive Line.

BTW, Myles Brennan will be the next great QB in the conference. That's why all those receivers chose the Tigers. They see the potential there.........

How great could he be that he couldn’t get on the field this past season?

The OP said with all due respect. That means he gets to say whatever he wants. It’s in the Geneva convention. Look it up.

Yup right there next to "ahh, bless their heart"

Hate to admit it but ^^^ this.

Probably a similar situation as Hurts and Tagovailoa. Tagovailoa looks to be a more talented player than Hurts but I'm guessing Tagovailoa needed to catch up to the game mentally.?. Dude killed it in your spring game.

Brennan obviously has to catch up to the game as well. He had to compete with a 5yr player in Danny Etling. I refer to DE as the worst dog in the yard just good enough you don't shoot the poor bastard. Which led me to a similar conclusion as you mentioned. How good is he?

In the Elite 11 Pro day event Brennan finished 2nd behind Tagovailoa. We'll see what happens. CEO said "we coming"

I'll be at "Death Valley" this November when we stomp that Bama azz providing you're planning to be there. Lets do this
