I'm confident a lot of LSU fans have said, "just a smidgen of help from the offense... & that defense would have been referenced to as one of the best LSU defenses to take the field."
He'll always get a lot of hate because of the terms in which he departed, but he is definitely the most underrated DC we've had since I've been alive. (Most of) His defenses at LSU were stellar.
re: Have any of y'all ever represented yourself in small claims court?
Posted by wrongRob on 4/25/25 at 4:12 pm
Not small claims.
I won custody of my daughter with no attorney. The attorney I retained took my deposit and went MIA.
Anyway won custody then got in touch with the BAR and kicked the attorney's arse on his home court.
Be friendly with folks in those buildings downtown and make them want to help you is all I would say to anyone. It's just forms and knowing the right ones and what to say.
I didn't go to RICE. I have a 2sq. mile town HS edgumcation. WampusCat. The only thing I had going for me is I was young and trying to do the right thing. Those healthy women downtown appreciated that and helped with the right forms and right words.
You can do it

"PSA" 15th Annual Crawfish Festival in FishHawk-Riverview FL Saturday 4-26-25
Posted by wrongRob on 4/25/25 at 6:31 am
Came across this, this morning. Happens tomorrow Saturday 4-26-25
LINK / <-- details, 15th annual Crawfish Festival in Riverview FL. Location is more like FishHawk/Lithia Pinecrest area
LINK <-- map
Never been not sure how the event will turn out. I "may" go.
Do they dust? I don't know.
Do they add tomatoes to their gumbo? I don't know.
What do I expect of the patrons? I don't know.
Providing I do show up I'll be wearing an old worn kaki LSU hat properly stained. Providing wife is in tow you will surely know it's me because of the disparity of her good looks compared to the lack of mine. Stay safe!

Near Death Experiences
Anybody study them?
1987 day off work, drying cloths in an old dryer that only ran on high heat. ON/OFF was controlled by pulling the cord out of the outlet. Long story to the dryer but this was in South Tampa in Parkland Estates $$$$ at a Judges house. I guess no matter the occupation the coon arse wouldn't come out of the rich old man.
Anyway 18-year-old me is in the pool & the nephew to the Judge brings out a 1/2 gallon of Kentucky Gentleman and we start day drinking around 1030am. 2hrs or so go by & I remember my cloths. I pull up out of the pool not thinking, run into the garage & grab the plug while still soaking wet.
I was rudely introduced to 220 while standing in a puddle of water I created from the pool. I could not turn the plug loose. It had a solid grip on me, unlike anything I have ever experienced. I tried and tried to break free probably only a few seconds but I was consciously trying to let go/pull away and pow I was spun off like a ballerina. I'm now facing my friend that was staring at me in disbelief then laughing & pointing at me hysterically.
I was then in the rafters of the garage looking down at both of us. I was still standing bent over with my hands on my knees looking at him. Then I was back in body still looking at him thinking if I could move I'd kick his azz. Then I said to self, "brain you have to tell the heart to beat & lungs to breath." I was pretty much ruined around electricity for a long while.

Those custom private towers are for the shot callers. Ditches & ponds are for the poors. :dunno:
Grew up in Vernon Parish same there. My friend & I started our spotlighting careers with them at about age 7. Knock them down in the daytime & mark hole with a plastic utensil. Then come back at night with a flashlight & shovel.
Once we learned the finesse of sneaking up on them it was easy to get a bucket full of bait in the neighborhood. Had a great time doing this.

re: What makes a Daniel Defense AR better than other AR-15 brands?

I have one, never a failure but basically what Whiskey Dent said.
Mine has a two stage trigger and it slings a disgusting spread "IMHO" at 100 yards using 55gr battle ammo. Yeah 1-7 twist is happier with 77gr but of course it's more expensive and I have more 55gr than 77gr match.
All that being said I rarely reach for it when I go shooting. I don't dislike it, it's a nice gun I'm proud to have it.
Providing I wanted another 5.56 I would slam some PSA blemished items together with a 1/9 twist and polish the stock trigger & buy more shifty battle ammo with the savings.

I'm going to end up buying something :rotflmao:
30 second elevator pitch. What's your "outdoors/knock around" go to side arm?
Posted by wrongRob on 4/4/25 at 7:10 am
I understand there are "better" sidearms available for doing redneck stuff but my go to is the KelTec PMR30. It's perfect for me & I've trusted it for several years. It allows me to keep my "safe queens" well in the safe.
Mine fishes salt/fresh, it's gone for a swim or two & goes mudding with no fk's to give. It's feather light holds 30 rounds of 22mag, shoots fast/flat, it's reliable & easy to clean. Yes reliable, run CCI load the mag like you have some sense & you're good to go.
I liken it to a hornet's nest, "go ahead stick your hand in there." I can use it and not care about it being lightly abused. I'm somewhat a simple dude have plenty of $3k firearms but my PMR30 makes me grin.
Y'all stay safe and keep those Tarpon Captains off your boat!

I have a 2020 GMC Sierra.
I have loved the truck but it's had issues with starting on occasion that the dealership can't diagnose, tends to happen when it's very hot outside.
Google my gm truck won't start when hot. <-- or something similar. My truck was doing this, there was info about starters going bad this was a tell.
Purchased a new starter at NAPA all good to go now. The only tricky part is the plastic wire connection. Tip is to spray the connection with Kroil or another good oil & wait for 15 - 30 minutes. You should be good to go, oh and if it's the original starter the two bolts holding it on are torqued pretty tight use a 1/2" drive instead of 3/8"

I saw it and thought this dude doesn't deserve a Nylon66.
I still have my Nylon66 it was my first rifle it's 40 plus years old. Shoots true and still my favorite gun in the safe.

With the transfer portal we went to Atlanta in year 1
The key word in the statement is consistently & yup 5 years from where they were. I wouldn't rule out a surprise showing year 4. It's the offseason LSU is going all the way.

A college football rebuild doesn’t take five years unless it’s done improperly. Most coaches who win their first national championship do it in three or four years.
I'll stick with: The rebuild is going to take 5 years minimum to consistently compete for anything of significance.
