It's a moot point trying to guess what rankings as of today would look like of course.

Notre Dame has the Stanford win and the Michigan win, so they would put in over Bama and UGA.

Until Bama is beaten, they are #1. And, derservingly so. Even when you have them down, beat during the season ala ‘11 or on the ropes in last year’s championship game, they have the talent and coaching to put your arse to bed. Reminds me of Ali and the rope a dope.

By the time October 30th rolls around, this typically basic team won't even be ranked inside the AP top 15 and after November 3rd, they won't be ranked at all.

LSU obviously should be ranked number 1 followed by Ohio state, UGA then Bama .....Bamas overall schedule to this point has been. It as good as the others even though they have played well.

If they beat those teams, they should definitely be #1 in the first CFP poll. I’m all about resume wins but you can’t really tell how good teams are until later in the season which is why I’m glad they wait to come out with the first poll. Ohio State May have the 2nd best resume at that point.
I would be okay with Bama not being #1 at that point. We have a lot of big games in November that will give us a chance to climb the CFB poll and hope they give us a battle so Tua can get more than one half of playing time for his Heisman run. I just feel that if we keep blowing teams out and he is sharing time with Jalen this year (and possibly next year) then he may never have the stats to win the Heisman. But I think I care about him winning the Heisman more than he does himself lol

To be honest I don't want LSU at #1 going into the bama game. Just gives bama that "we're being disrespected" motivational factor. Would much rather have bama at #1 LSU #2
