The post I was responding to was an A&M fan talking shite about "LSU fans getting use to losing" or whatever the frick it was..
I thought this was funny, because A&M hasn't won anything of any significance in quite some time. Yet here come the fans talking all kinds of shite after making the college football playoffs just 1 time and losing, and only making it the the CWS only 8 times, ironically the same number of National Championships LSU has in baseball - All while LSU is STILL less than one year from winning the CWS - something that A&M has never done.

It's more than a lack of a report. It's an insinuation that his Highway patrol escort point blank lied about it not happening. It's just an odd point to dig in on. Either one person lied for sympathy or a bunch of state officials who have nothing to gain from lying are conspiring against a football coach.

No it isn't. He said he didn't call for an escort until after it had already happened. They weren't there when he claims it happened, so they have no way of knowing if it did or didn't.

It only came up when he was in his introductory press conference 24 hours later, and you’re laughing at Ole Miss fans for being unreasonable to talk about what the police were directly involved with?
Sure, no one knows what’s happened. But we can’t discuss the lack of proof and should just take what Lane says? If Lane opens the line of inquiry, he can be held accountable for his lack of receipts. Especially when he had every opportunity to engage in conduct that would produce them.

Where are you getting this? Every source I've read says he had an escort from the university to the airport (which is about a mile if you aren't aware)
If Lane called for an escort, it would have been to the local police dept and not the highway patrol. Both would have records of the request. Neither do. None of that narrative makes any sense.
