Most schools added the fee in the form of a price increase to cover the lawsuit payments. UT was honest about the fee and what it was. I hope that’s a simple enough answer to your statement.
As for season tickets. I don’t bother with them. I don’t like crowds and noise so it’s only 1-2 games a year I actually attend. I gladly pay market price for tickets for my daughter’s friend group to go as long as one of the other parents chaperone. And I have no issue buying tickets for people that want to attend their first game at Neyland or TBA or LNS.
I do attend more baseball games than football simply due to the crowd and inconvenience of logistics.

Maybe it's that they're not dumb enough to pay that much for a high school kid. It's a shame what so called college football has became. Glad I'm over it. Now you're supposed to cheer for kids that are only at your school because you were the highest bidder. No thanks
