LSU surrendered 13 hits and 1 run vs Bama and still won.

LSU only managed 5 hits but scored twice to defeat Bama 2-1 in game one of the series. Both starting pitchers were terrific and both deserved to win tonight.
That historic feat (13 hits/1run) hadn’t happened to an LSU baseball team since 1942 (79 years ago).
For further perspective, the USA was less than 30 days into World War II in 1942 AND, the Texas A&M Aggots were 3 years removed from their last football National Championship in 1939. You would have to be 82 years or older to be alive when the Aggots last were crowned National Champs in football. Gig Em! Whoop!

Both teams are mediocre at best. They're simply fodder for the half dozen SEC teams with a prayer of advancing well past the regular season.
