LSU making Auburn behind the scenes shenanigans look like baby shite by comparison.

It may be accurate that he never worked at LSU?

He's joking about the now-widespread rumors that Kelly just loafed around and didn't work hard. Scheduling vacations during National Signing Day week and not talking to recruits type shite. *allegedly

Yep. People hate lawyers until they actually need one.

I’m curious what LSU fans think of the impact, if any, it will have on getting the coach you want.

Honestly, probably a lot less than it should. Someone will convince themselves "well I'll never be fired there, think of what I could do with all those resources."

It's still a horrendous move. It's stupid. And to the extent morality even exists in modern business, it's immoral, too.

How are they screwing this up worse than any other team looking for a new coach

LSU may have a case that Woodward was fired for cause, because he genuinely seems to have screwed over the university. Largely by not reading the contract he supposedly wrote.

They’re going to have to pay Kelly, though.

It’s the most Louisiana thing ever.

The fact that they have now fired him for cause means they were trying to pay him NOTHING.

What big name coach wants to be at LSU now?

But they didn't. Per his contract, they would have had to give him a 7 day notice of intent to terminate for cause. They are a complete cluster frick and will be destroyed in court.

“When Coach Kelly arrived at LSU four years ago, we had high hopes that he would lead us to multiple SEC and national championships during his time in Baton Rouge,” Woodward said. “Ultimately, the success at the level that LSU demands simply did not materialize, and I made the decision to make a change after last night’s game. I am grateful for the ongoing consultations and support of the LSU Board of Supervisors and Interim President Matt Lee in this decision. We wish Coach Kelly and his family the very best in their future endeavors. We will continue to negotiate his separation and will work toward a path that is better for both parties

If we live in a society where a judge or jury lets LSU get away with this kind of blatant bull shite, then it's just more evidence that we really are completely lost and corrupt as a nation. We're watching the walls slowly fall in all around us, in real time.
