All programs of note cheat at various points in history. The only program that truly deserved to be nuked was Penn State and of course the NCAA didn’t have the balls

Will Wade was caught cheating on record. This isn’t the court of law, you aren’t innocent until proven guilt. He was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He’s an idiot and what is wild is how smug about he was after the fact. Wade is done and he’s been a dead man walking for a while now.

^^^ this.

Might as well close this thread because this is all that needs to be said on the matter.

The NCAA's track record of actual punishment after one of these things is not impressive, but is technically news.

Doubt LSU has much to worry though, presuming their coach doesn't record ANOTHER meeting offering money.

They got caught doing 90 in a school zone and thought pointing at Duke going 80 in a school zone made it okay

I will say this:

While I seriously doubt anything happens to LSU, if it DOES it will be because Wade basically dared them.

kind of like Alabama got busted not so much for Antonio Langham signing a napkin while partying after the national championship over Miami, but because Gene Stallings kicked the investigator out of his office when they came to ask some questions about it.

Just because it has taken forever doesn’t mean a lot of effort has been expended. I wouldn’t give the ncaa that much credit.

Our most recent penalties took years. And it was basically just the testimony of a tutor. Then we got butt raped.

Oh we're fixing to get hit. The NCAA has been after Wade since before the tape came out. IMO they do just about anything to get his arse.

They getting lit up by NCAA. No, not like Missouri, who plays NCAA game, and gets punished severely for a rogue tutor.

makes the case for not cooperating with investigations.

Exactly. Think of all the resources spent over the years making sure kids don’t get money… and how pathetically ineffective it has all been

Because there was so much corruption by Wade that it tool 5 years to sort through it. Like the post I quoted said, it is an open and shut case.
