so at least to some degree you and I agree about this

I like to pay attention at the start of a game, or whenever I see graphics highlighting a particular player. A lot of them major in some pretty generic stuff. Sports administration, programs like that.

You don't see a lot of football players in STEM programs, or literature, psychology, some of those classic humanities.

If I see a football player majoring in kinesiology, I don't think they're educating themselves. I think they're using the opportunity to learn some skills for a future career. Maybe in their general education requirements they studied some 3000/4000 level psychology and learned to appreciate classic literature, but I doubt there are many.

Intelligence?

Why can't they just be kids who come from low income, underprivileged areas who are simply chasing a dream and using their God given abilities to get there?

What an ignorant post, but that's typical coming from you.

I can exercise to get in better shape, but I was never going to be a D1 athlete. I simply didn’t have the talent. People can study to get more educated, but some simply aren’t genetically intelligent enough to be a college student.

I'm not going to argue with you about any of this.

I'd just have a hard time believing there are that many players in D1 sports that can't read or add well enough to get a GED.

how people define intelligence, like I.Q., then yes, it can be gained with education.

look what the cats drug in.

You said that Najee Harris said he didn't get along with Saban most of his time at Alabama, and the article never quoted him saying that. In other words, you were lying to troll Alabama fans.

This guy is actually quoted as saying this. Huge difference.

And you. You're the guy that pledged to donate to a fund for a guy whose wife died, then later reneged on that pledge. Only a p.o.s. would do something like that.

I said he was simply reflecting how West Coast and NE view the states I mentioned.

OP was trolling but it does not mean my post was incorrect. Not a reach at all. It is accurate. That’s exactly why the guy said it. He is repeating what he has been exposed to. That was my point. Not the players fault.

Najee literally said they "bumped heads" all the time and didn't patch things up until his final season at Alabama.

If you were "trolled" by that, then that's on you, Granny.

The trashy arse Alabama fan who was lying to get drug money?

Leave it to your dumbass to defend him.

He probably didn't even think it's an insult. He's from California and I suppose that's the sterotype of the south. Najee Harris had to adjust to the culture here, but I don't remember him ever saying his teammates might've not come from anything.

Didn’t Najee live in a car at one point as a kid? Do you see how stupid that post is?

TigerDroppings is a massive message board. Yeah, it can be a madhouse, but it is absolutely full of good-hearted people willing to help.

Asking for donations was never a problem before, but thanks to 1 Alabama fan, those threads are no longer allowed on the OT.

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said. Football is a desperate game for desperate people, it’s not really something that the silver spoon kids are geared for.

Even if it is true, a lot of kids don't like to be told they "might not come from anything". It is a bit of a pride thing especially when it implies your parents weren't able to provide. If you watch your parents work their asses off to give you the little that you have, you appreciate it and want to make it sound like it was everything you really needed.

Najee Harris was homeless at one time growing up. And BAMA has so many players from these here United States the rest of the team would probably punch you out.
