Talking about his teammates, most from Louisiana and other southern states, he says...

"Those guys care about football. They might've not come from anything. This is their only life, their only way out to get to where they want to be."

He probably didn't even think it's an insult. He's from California and I suppose that's the sterotype of the south. Najee Harris had to adjust to the culture here, but I don't remember him ever saying his teammates might've not come from anything.

Why would he? He was homeless at one point as a kid. He knew what it was like to “not come from anything”.

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said. Football is a desperate game for desperate people, it’s not really something that the silver spoon kids are geared for.

he didn't say "this is our only life", he said...

They might've not come from anything. This is their only life,

so you think football is their only way out to a successful career and better life? You don't think that with an education they can do better for themselves, even if They might've not come from anything ?

You ever been to the places a large portion of the players on your team are from?

I think you may be the ignorant one here.

You think the vast majority of football players attend the school they are at without that football scholarship? You think they get the tutors, the connections, the opportunities without football?

well, I have lived in the South my entire life, and I don't try to insulate myself from what you and the qb might consider inferior neighborhoods and people.

Perhaps you live in a bubble inside some gated and guarded community where you never have deal with those kind of people.

Dumbass. A scholarship to play football will get you an education and out of the life of poverty. So yea, education is the key via a football scholarship.

Not really a reach at all. He reflects West Coast and Northeast views of Louisiana, Miss, and Alabama.

Naive? Absolutely. OP reaching? Not at all.
