I know Burrow gets all the credit but are we really gonna ignore the reality that LSU has 2 of the 4 best receivers in the NFL and they're 22 and 23 years old?
I agree and imo Jefferson is overlooked often. Burrow was what we needed but having Chase and Jefferson to throw to helped him be fearless. Also had a really really good running back.

LSU players discuss what's different between being coached by Brian Kelly, Ed Orgero
quote:
He became a really good coach by the time he got to LSU. Then after 2019 he decided he didn’t want to grind anymore
Coach O was a good coach, a divorce and then the Poon Tang got him.
Lost way too many players off the 2019 squad
Too many off the field blunders
Poor coaching hires
With all that said if Joe Burrow would have been on the team 2020 and 2021 LSU wins 10 games each season and "O" is still coach.

Why don’t you just wait and see how Kelly does at lsu in the next couple years before you talk shite about the guy. Every team he’s had in the playoffs or ny6 bowls didn’t have a kayshon boutte or multiple athletes like that.
If he can match his o line recruiting with what we have at the skill positions year in and year out then it would be hard to not have some good teams. Obviously he knows how to run a program

If this were true, then how come Kelly couldn't get it done at ND? He had many chances while playing a much easier schedule yearly.
Probably the same reason that two coaches who can’t find a job anywhere else won a championship at lsu.

So luck then?

his contract at ND was c. $7.5m pa through 2024 (and the ND AD refused to increase or extend it without a national championship trophy)
When this came out, the AD said he wasn't even given a chance to renegotiate with Kelly.

So even a retard coach could trip into a natty at LSU

A better question is how the frick did O get it done at LSU
Easy answer

I’ve seen you spew this BS logic in another thread and I honestly have no clue what the hell you’re talking about. In 2019, LSU was just better. We beat more top 10 teams than any team ever and it wasn’t because they were bad, we just happened to have the greatest statistical season ever by a college QB along with two top 5 NFL receivers and a first round RB. In 07 and 03, the conference was pretty damn solid as well (you wouldn’t understand that, you were playing Kansas and Colorado every year).

Twice. Oh what a pattern.
With one being the worst team to win a title in 40 years.
