They are both top 5 jobs with multiple coaches winning titles at both places.

Having lived in both places, living in BR is far superior to living in Gville, FL.

Both jobs are good. UF has won 2 titles this century and LSU has won 3 titles.

If LSU job comes with a team of armed security 24 hours a day for the entire family… it is pretty even.

Slight edge to LSU being the only Power 5 school in Louisiana. The programs are quite similar actually.

LSU or Florida which is the more attractive coaching job
Florida's brand is a fraction of what it used to be.

It's all about "lately" in 2025 news cycles. Kiffin ain't leaving for Florida, because we all know that's what you're asking. He's a fantastic coach, and I love the dude, and he'll leave old miss the slavemaster's wife soon enough, but going to Florida without an NIL deal second to none - not happening, else he's destined to the dustbin.

Expectation are probably more realistic at Florida
Do what? Florida has been through a baker's dozen coaches wallowing in mediocrity since Tebow and Meyer. Expectations? You old chuds are stuck in 2003.

Leisure life in Florida is a huge advantage
While yes, Baton Rawanda is a shithole, Gainesville ain't the "Florida" we all think about when thinking about, "Florida."
quote:

Safety of your family in Florida is better
Compared to the dump Baton Rouge, sure. Your family is in dire danger just driving the roads in Baton Rouge, let alone crime when you stop, but Gainesville ain't a beachfront Margaritaville song.

Florida really does seem to have the edge
Not when the original question was

LSU or Florida which is the more attractive coaching job

Florida is on the level of mid level SEC east teams with their attractiveness circa 2025. They're a nothingburger. No one fears the Florida gators anymore. It would be humiliating if a coach left even a middling program like old mississippi or Louisville for the dumpster fire that is Florida, circa 2025.

LSU is far more attractive job. Florida has simply reverted back to the mean, and because you're asking about Kiffin, the easy answer is LSU, and I hate those sons of bitches just as much as the rest of you.

Florida shares a state with Miami, USF, And Florida State.

That ALONE makes LSU the better job. Anything else is meaningless bullshite.

That three straight coaches won a natty here is telling. If you can build the wall around LA, you will win.

LSU… you can win there.

Florida is where you go to get a huge buyout and never coach again, kinda like Auburn. Both are career killers.

Baton Rouge is the Shining City on a Hill.

Truly cosmopolitan and universally recognized as world class.

Florida is by far the better University, but LSU is a better football program.

That being said, Oxford>>>>Gainesville>Baton Rouge.

And that mid tier SEC team with its worst coach in 70 years smoked y’all in the swamp a couple weeks back.

LSU is the better job by the way. It’s close but when you can win national titles with coaches like O and Les, it shows that anyone can win there. Very few places in the country can win national championships with bad coaches.

LSU stealing our AD ended up being the best thing to happen to Aggies in the 21st century

All Woodward has done at LSU is win 6 NCs in team sports including football and baseball.
A&M has won 2 in that time - Men’s T&F and Women’s tennis

Never change, Aggies

You really think Scott would have let Shloss and Buzz leave?

LSU. It's the only real bigtime school in the state. Florida is fighting Florida State, and Miami over recruits. There's UCF and USF also.
