There may be some jealousy in this thread, but there's also a little bit of Double-Barrelled chip on the shoulder action going on from LSU fans.
On the one hand, we're arguably the best program in the country in a niche sport that no one really cares about like we do, and on the other, you have the completely legitimate desire not to have a truly great 2011 football season marginalized.
No fanbase comes out looking too good in these sorts of flame wars.

They can't fricking fathom how fans can support something other than football.
What's even worse is that they immediately turned this into a football thread. This thread was not started as a flame thread, it was started to congratulate LSU for winning 2 of the 3 major SEC championships. Those who have none are always jealous. It is one of the 7 deadly sins.

I just don't understand how winning your conference, playing one of the toughest schedules ever, dominating the rose and orange bowl champions is something not to be proud of and all of a sudden conference championships don't mean anything?
