I have to agree. Professionally it's the NFL, NBA and MLB. At the collegieate level matchups between top 5 clubs are on network for football and hoops. In baseball, many times they are not televised at all, save on ESPN-U. Dwarf poker is shown instead on ESPN-2.

Neither is college softball or gymnastics, but that doesn't stop Bama fans for talking about them endlessly. There is nothing wrong with being proud of the team you pull for winning the conference in any sport.

I promise LSU fans i will never brag about baseball even if we are good at it, womens tennis, girls basketball, mens basketball, softball, gymnastics,etc. there is only one sport that matters. why would i waste my time pretending to care about something that didnt matter. i wonder what the viewership ratings were for the SEC baseball game (if there is one??? i really have no clue).

So because you only care about one sport, the rest of us should agree?
"True" fans and alumni of schools pull for every sport in which their school participates in. To attempt to devalue a sport because you personally only care about one sport is insulting to the thousands of college athletes that bust their asses every year in sports other than football.

Matter to who, you? I thought a true fan had the interests of the University first, not their own warm fuzzy. The guys/girls playing care, as does their proud parents, along with fans that enjoy that particular sport. It's really not about the guy sitting on the couch man.

Maybe people who dont have a life outside of college sports i guess.
Some people have better things to do then to watch college sports all day long and feign interest in women sports and other boring mens sports.

I qualified my post noting the importance of the guy sitting on the couch. It's the equating of the fan with the consumer I don't agree with, regarding a supporter of a school. To each his own.

They are programs of your school (assuming you hold a degree from UA). I support ALL LSU athletics because I support the school and want to see it on top in everything it competes in. Take your typical Bama "only football matters because we have 298347928374 national titles" banter elsewhere.
This was a thread about LSU football and baseball being SEC Champs. Through your own admission, you care about nothing in this thread because it has nothing to do with Alabama Football, so take a hike.
