Which makes all the rape A-OK!

Setting aside the fact that the DOE shouldn't exist

Lack of proper public education infrastructure is why people actually believe the Q lunacy. The DOE needs to be revamped, not removed.

Inb4 “let states decide” - ignoring the fact that southeastern states have horrendous public education.

Pretty sure this means that LSU cannot escape the pending NCAA investigation. You can't have the Feds come in, and then the NCAA do nothing ...

Eh, the real world doesn’t even have kangaroo courts sunshine - assuming you actually have a job.

Public Institutions like colleges that have massive housing complexes (including frat/sorority houses) have responsibilities to take steps to ensure safety - and sexual assault is a very prevalent problem.

The federal policies currently in place protect the states’ and countrys’ interests without having to resort to expensive lawsuits. You have to remember, a lot of these sexual assaults occur under the watch of RA’s (university employees) or Frat Presidents (sanctioned on-campus institutions.

Federally mandated investigations saves costs and legal issues in the long run.

Most “small guvmen” simpletons fail to see the nuance, though. A shame because it’s not a terrible philosophy in general.

Yeah not good. Hopefully the people and not the program are punished.

Not sure why this got so many downvotes.

I would actually have agreed with this if Penn State never happened. I think the price of hammering programs is worth the benefit of coaches having the fear of god when it comes to looking the other way to fricked up shite.

What are people reporting crimes to an athletic department? Isn't that what police are for? This whole story is based on a stupid premise. If they just go to the police then there is no story....

Because everyone is trying to make it about football because of Guice.

It’s a University issue. It does involve the Athletic Department, but the majority of the issues start with the Uni Admin. They didn’t do their jobs.

Also note that the President and AD that we’re supposed to handle this correctly are no longer at their positions at LSU and that happened before all of this game out.

To quote a great American song: “frick the police”.

The bar for successful rape convictions is astronomically high.

You have two choices: kangaroo courts for rape that could see the accused go to jail. (They already have kangaroo courts for DUI - there is precedent)

-OR-

Having universities protect their institutions and students by disciplining people with evidence against them.

Any halfway decent company does the same thing. Hell, less evidence is needed to get fired from your job.

Title IX is somewhat outside of the NCAA's jurisdiction...

On the other hand, it's not the job of a football program to condone, promote, and enable rape packs of wild animals to run freely and use the resources of the football program and its connections and power as a shield against responsibility for their actions.

Which football program did any of those things?

The two I can think of are Baylor and LSU.

Based on what?

I haven't seen any allegations against the LSU football program.

LSU was aware of multiple sexual assault claims made against former football players and ignored them over several years, according to a report from USA Today. The report states that a total of nine players have had allegations and complaints of sexual misconduct or violence against women since Ed Orgeron took over the program in September 2016.

This is not a hot take. It's a fact. The Obama Administration initiated these drumhead tribunals as a sop to the radical feminists and Marxists in our universities. Title IX hearings are some of the more egregious attacks on due process and constitutional rights the Democrats have foisted on us.

Yes, please, continue to play silly games. "Just cause Will Wade offered money on tape, that doesn't meant he broke any rules!" "Sure, there are allegations that LSU covered up rape allegations against at least 9 football players, but that doesn't mean the coaches knew anything about it."

Keep trying to find ways to justify the behavior of your coaches, as apparently you care about winning more than you care about punishing rapists.
