The FBI is taking Will Wade into custody tomorrow too.

Oregon State's President isn't going to survive this

Campuses have campus police.
Campus police would be the ones handling the issue, but are paid for by the University. They are not the same as law enforcement provided by the city, county or state.
LSU Campus Police Crime Log - January 2021
That link includes sexual assault. Clearly that's who it gets reported to; and those individuals are employees of LSU.

Yeah not good. Hopefully the people and not the program are punished.
Not sure why this got so many downvotes.
I've always thought it was messed up that normally the people that are responsible are gone from the punishment, and the people who come in after are made to pay the price.
It's like going to arrest a criminal, but getting the guy behind him instead.
Punish the guilty.

Don't fret LSU fans.
I have it on good authority that you have some guys playing in the Super Bowl, so that will surely smooth things over.
At least an ex-LSU player will have a Super bowl ring after the Chief win the Super bowl again!

That's where the whole "sexual assault" starts...

3 ex-LSU players.

Don't worry. LSU donated to BLM and deserves a free pass.

Do you really think campus police are the best ones to conduct a complex investigation into sexual assault/rape with the need for preservation of dna evidence and getting victim statements from a traumatized 18 year old? Hell, even large city police departments have their own units for this. Campus police can do it between noise complaints in the dorm and someone putting shaving cream on the door knobs of the library.

Shouldn’t be a hot take. They basically ask administrators to act like prosecutors and judge.
Until DeVos you didn’t even have basic rights to defend yourself. Unfortunately it will probably be reverted to Soviet show trials again.

From my understanding the administration didnt follow up with the allegations. Or do much of anything about them to assure campus safety revolving them
It would be like a parent reporting a teacher of sexually assaulting a student and the school not placing the teacher on leave and making sure things were handled before allowing them to return to work.

Idc what school it is, if something needs to be done, get it done.

Hopefully there will be changes made in the way these kinds of things are handled across the country at other schools as well so that this doesn't happen again. Maybe some good can come out of a shitty situation.

Sell and anyone else responsible should be out of a job if found to be responsible for covering this shite up. Including O. Won’t see me shed a tear. I’d rather our ath dept be cleaned up top to bottom than ever have to see this type of shite go on again, even if it means a couple years of probation. This type of shite should never go on at LSU. We aren’t Baylor.

I'm scared that they will find something on Ed and he will be fired. I don't want that.

I was not offering my opinion of whether or not campus police SHOULD handle it.
My post states that they DO handle it; meaning that the person who I was replying to was making a point that didn't apply.
Yes, it should be a matter for police that reside off campus, but it isn't; he was implying that it was already something being handled off-campus.
