That was hard to watch.

Well apparently the only half options we have this season are the following:

Watch the Tiger Girls do a routine they already did
Watch a middle school basketball game
Nothing

You can tell they are really putting in the effort for the fans

I think when it's all said and done, Dardar starts at 2nd base.

He's hitting well in the scrimmages and holding his own at second. Reaves made a couple errors so it seems to be trending this way.

The schools have got to have a way to enforce these contracts. The players should not have a loophole of unenrolling and reenrolling elsewhere to game the system.

For the millionth time, until they are employment contracts, these arent enforceable.

I jsut did the roster completely for starters

Thats certainly a piece of it. I think they also had 47 players above the age of 22.

Basketball represents a better investment opportunity because it CAN get a lot better...which would generate more revenue.

And if your team is arse you have to find ways to get butts in seats. Continuing to have virtually no entertainment at half time outside of a middle school basketball game shows they DGAF.

I was at the Missouri game. The literal only thing they did was acknowledge the 86 team.

shite they tried a game of tic tac toe with layups that was an epic fail and had to be scrapped because one of the students gamed the system.

The bigger solution from a purely business standpoint is to quit spending so much on WBB

The women in 2024 had higher expenditures than the men by over 1 million.

Womens BB losing 8 million after going to the elite 8 while LSU baseball only losing less than 1 million and winning the CWS is insane to me.

Take that money from the women and move it into MBB and baseball. Stop the charade.

No… looking out for his nephew… probably been looking out for him way before he was good in football… LSU, Oregon, Miami or whoever just a vessel to the next level… this not 20 years ago where a kid grows up enamored with LSU they from DC… his uncle understands that if he wasn’t good at football none of us would care about his well being one way or the other… LSU FOOTBALL is not the same entity you received your degree from…

I have no idea what you are trying to say

but Oregon is offering a bigger bag.

Im not sure thats the case. I think its been said multiple times Lane almost has a blank check for this one.

You dont fly a private jet around for a few days chasing this kid only to be cheap when it comes to negotiations

Not trying to disrespect his uncle, he was probably there for him his whole life but Seaton has to make that call.

Nah frick that. Doesn’t matter who it is, it should be the kids decision and not the adults.

It’s not limiting him from going anywhere else.

Thats exactly what they are doing and exactly what these contracts can't include.

They can sign endorsement deals though, or why couldn't they?

Yup but legally no contract can tie any amount of money to the student athlete actually playing. Thats why there are all of these loopholes.

quote:

Some schools need to be the bad guys and start holding these players accountable for the deals they are signing to fix this whole thing.

The problem isnt the players. They legally cant sign pay for play contracts. Until that happens theres nothing to enforce other than maybe damages.
You got too many fricking cats

Heard from several Tulane folks that Mesah's agent is scum of the earth.

Tulane fans dont like Mensah after he left? No way
We are not losing 3 home games.

still was an actu of genius to to leverage the current system to put this team together and IU was desperate enough to give it a shot since they had nothing to lose and everything to gain

Dont disagree at all. And he will get in the HOF, I just am not sure we will see him sustain this level at Indiana long term.

He loses a frick ton of experience and chemistry from this team.
quote:

I think this Indiana team has revolutionized the sport, not because they were a special all time team, but because they opened up the sport to so many programs previously felt like they were on the outside looking in.

Lets pump the brakes a bit and see if he can sustain success without a team in their mid 20's.

People are going WAYYYYYYYY overboard with all of this. A ton of new players, new coaches, new scheme on offense.

Indiana
2023 3-9
2024 11-2

Miami and TT both just did it through the portal with a complete roster change.

Maybe. But you 100% take every shot you can at the qb in this game
