If, as you say, coaches win nattys at LSU, why were there zero between the 1950s and Nick Saban?

Look who’s running the search tho

Scott MF Woodward

He swings a big stick and always lands his top target.

Someone will. They have a recruiting home base. UT does not.

You haven’t lived until you’ve experienced a coaching search of Tennessee caliber

Lol bitch please.

Coaches win nattys at LSU

Coaches want to win nattys
Let's pretend this is true-
What does it lead to?
A coach coming in , winning a title, and bouncing for greener pastures.

Last time I checked Woodward isn’t letting Clay Travis dictate his coaching search. I think it will be ok.

You don't have a coaching search.

Three straight head coaches at LSU have won a NC and two of them were marginal leaders. We have talent, facilities, and every resource needed to win more NC's. I do not think LSU will have a big problem finding a HC.

Yeah no coach would want to be the 4th straight coach to win a national championship at LSU. That would suck. Better to go to a school that hasn't popped it's cherry since the Carter administration, right? Idiot.

Between the 1950s and Nick Saban' arrival LSU won ZERO national titles, which belies the notion that any coach can win at LSU.

The truth is that LSU was an also ran in the conference till Nick Saban arrived there and built the program so well that even Les Miles won a title with the remainder of Saban's players.

Orgeron hit lightning in a bottle with one very good year for a transfer qb and a one year and done Joe Brady. The Chizik effect.

Fact is after the NCAA let Auburn walk post Cam Newton nobody will ever get more than a slap on the wrist. Also now players can get paid anyway. Not a factor.

That statement really bothers you for you to take it so literally. Having 3 different coaches do it in less than 16 years is a remarkable dynamic all things considered.

He got pretty damn close to two more with his own players which belies that Louisiana has the kids to do it if the coach is decent enough.

His complacency and sucking on his own are the obvious reasons why LSU fans want to get rid of him now. Some programs it’s easier to catch lightning than others. LSU is one of them in this era.
