I disagree. LSU always will have good recruits in the state. Tenn does not have that.

Three straight head coaches at LSU have won a NC and two of them were marginal leaders. We have talent, facilities, and every resource needed to win more NC's. I do not think LSU will have a big problem finding a HC.

Is Bob Stoops not good enough for you?

In all fairness, 1 was Nick Saban, 1 played for the NC with 2 losses, and the other had a generational QB. And it’s not strong enough on its own to keep Ed O from going 5-5 and then 3 losses already with AL, AR, TAMU, Florida and Ole Miss yet to play. LSU wasn’t strong enough to help Dinardo, Archer, Arnsparger, or even Cholly Mac win a NC.

Heck Alabama wasn’t a strong enough program to win a NC with Shula, Dubose, Fran, or Perkins.

Texas, Nebraska, USC, Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, UGA, Florida, & FSU are all on like their third or more coach since the last NC Winning coach. You can’t just hire a jerkoff and expect it all to workout because “We’re (insert your squad) dangit.”

No program is that strong.

When you’re the only school worth a damn in a state with the highest level of talent per capita for recruiting.. we are a program that strong

We’ve won with Miles and Ed fricking Orgeron. If you build a wall around Louisiana and land a serviceable QB from OOS, you compete for nattys at LSU

Sorry you don’t understand that. We’re a top 5 program in the nation that coaches are lining up to takeover

Agree. We have been living this for years. Hopefully this new coach and AD will workout.

LSU will not make the mistakes we made. Their AD understands the tradition and expectations of the program.
Tennessee's ADs were idiots

LSU is becoming the UT of the west division. Phil Fulmer won a national title too before the fallout.

Three of the last three coaches at LSU won national championships. Three of the last ten coaches at Alabama won national championships. Only one coach in the last ten has won a national championship at TN. LSU is far from the TN of the West.

Then why did LSU have to fire Dinardo, Miles, and soon to be Ed O….if the program is strong enough a trained monkey can win the NC? Is O a better coach than McClendon? Of course not. You need Talent, Fortune, and a coach.

Far more of your coaches haven’t won the NC than have. And that’s not a knock on LSU bc it’s not unique to LSU. There are certainly programs like LSU, AL, OSU, UGA, USC where it’s easier to win. Georgia has a similar talent density but over twice the population of Louisiana and UGA is the only show in town. You still need a competent coach and a good fortune to win the NC.
