LSU is a very fine program. IMO, just a hair away from a blueblood.

They are 9-12 historically nationally.

They are 2-4 (UT, LSU, UGA) in the SEC.

-They are 2nd to Bama in NCs tied with UF at 3.
-They are 2nd to Bama in major bowl victories at 11.
-They are 2nd, I think tied with UGA, to Bama in winning an SEC championship in every decade of the SEC's existence but the 90s and 40s.
----Bama won the first 2 SEC titles in 33 and 34 (tied with Tulane), LSU the next two
-They have been ranked as an AP top 25 decade program in every decade but the 90s since the AP's inception in 1936. Beginning in the 30s: 10, 20, 24, 7, 17, 18, NR, 6, 9. That is 3 times a top 10 program for the decade, with the slight possibility of holding on this decade to make it 4.
----All time AP rank by CFN formula: LSU 11.

Since 2010 they are 8th in winning % among P5 football programs, second in the SEC behind Bama.

Since 2012 they are 10th in winning % among P5 football programs, third in the SEC behind Bama (1) and UGA (8).

LSU has been a great program this century, with 4 SEC titles, 2 NCs and 3 NC game appearances and ranked by CFN/AP #6 in the 00s and #9 so far in the 10s.

Again: they are all time number 9-12 nationally. And they have been a top tier program every decade since the 30s except for one.

I think we are one of the most historically relevant football programs but so is Yale.

You think way too highly of your program. Before Saban arrived in Baton Rouge, LSU had only four or five 10-win seasons to their credit in their entire history. You have been a player since the turn of the century but, in the grand scheme of things, you are not historically relevant.

If you subtract the Saban years he coached at LSU and once most of his recruits were gone which was after the 2007 season. LSU has had 1 really good year (2011). From 2008 until now - 1 appearance in a major bowl in 10 years and they did not even score 1 point. LSU is nothing special now, they are a top 15-20 team if you look at their AVG ranking in the past 10 years. Enough said!

Another take, I think its flattering how Auburn has these random 3-9 type seasons on occasion, and bama fans dont talk down to them negatively any worse than they do in regards to LSU having 9-4 seasons. Maybe it means LSU is more of a threat in their minds, or they just like to pick at LSU fans more. Either way LSU hasn't had a losing season in 19 years, but every 4 loss season is supposed to bring them back to those days, according to Alabama fans.

To us a 4 loss season might as well be a 9 loss season.

What?Where are you getting these numbers?CMR had 145 wins at UGA from '01 to '15 and I'm sure all those teams listed have more wins since 2000...is this from 2000 to '10?

Any program that hires someone with a garbage coaching resume who also looks like Fred Flintstone and talks like Cookie Monster is not a fine football program. Not even close.

Correction. I don't know where you got your info, but it is grossly wrong.

P5 most wins since 2008
01. Bama-125
02. OSU--112 (this includes the 12 wins that were vacated)
03. OU---105
10. LSU--095
12. UGA--095
18. UF---086
22. AU---083
26. USCe-081

Who built that program and set it up for success? And if it wasn’t Nick Saban, then why did you fire the guy who did it?

how did Saban "build the program"?

we had a national title, multiple SEC championships, a shite load of bowl wins and a Heisman trophy winner before he ever set foot on campus.

how did Saban "build the program"?

This is the problem... they truly think they have been the SEC standard bearers ... despite averaging middle of the pack in the SEC west. Yet a goodly portion of the fans would not believe it if you showed then the cold hard numbers.

Pretty broad strokes there Chief
