LSU was pretty much a top five College football school from pretty much 2001 to 2007 thanks to Nick.

Since 08, LSU has had the same number of years finishing unraked (2) vs finishing top 10 (2). At the moment, they are a top 15-20 school.

Coach O is not a meddler.
He’s a winner and will bring back the glory to LSU football that has never been missing.

1. Boise State — 113 wins
2. Ohio State — 110 wins
3. Alabama — 107 wins
4. Oregon — 106 wins
5. LSU — 103 wins

Most wins since 2008. Some teams keep talking shite tho

You think LSU only has 4 fewer wins than Alabama since 2008?

You want to check that math, pal?

I already have.

Wins since 2008:

Alabama - 125
LSU - 95

That guy is the very definition of fake news.

Who built that program and set it up for success?

Nick Saban. He built that program from 2000-2004, and he did a damn fine job, a real bang up job. But that doesn't guarantee success for the next guy.

LSU fans for years famously said "well, any idiot can win 10 games a year at LSU"

:maury povich:

turns out, that was a lie.

then why did you fire the guy who did it?

This is the problem... they truly think they have been the SEC standard bearers ... despite averaging middle of the pack in the SEC west. Yet a goodly portion of the fans would not believe it if you showed then the cold hard numbers. The lack of awareness is alarming. You should see the constant refrain about “ all that talent” LSU has. When you ask if it is possible that other SEC schools also have a lot of talent, you get a blank stare, a long list of names such as Boudreaux at nose tackle, and a repeat declaration about “all that talent” LSU always has complete with NFL stats. You never seem to get a true acknowledgment about actual CFB accomplishments. If you ask just where the belief in a best in nation D next year comes from...again you get a list of players from the roster, complete with a lot of names no one has ever heard of... and something about Aranda. And then comes something about “the front seven” which includes another bunch of names no one except LSU fans have heard of. Don’t bother to ask if the declarer has taken a look at opposing team’s two deep, or looked at matchups. Most LSU fans couldn’t name a single player for...say...State et Al. They live in a small pond and actually believe they have always been elite.... which is why they hate Alabama so much and are forever talking refs, SEC office, etc. Alabama is one reality that they cannot excuse away. LSU is usually a decent football team, and will be about 4-4 in SEC this year. But don’t say that too loud. Refusal to predict 10-2 will get your tires slit.

This is the best description of LSU fans ever written.

Well, since this was your initial answer:

quote:

Nick Saban

Then the second half of your response was wholly unnecessary and irrelevant, bub, as this was the qualifier:

quote:

And if it wasn’t Nick Saban...

I have a vested interest in the outcome and I know it has to be tongue in cheek, but I can't figure out a way that your statement becomes remotely true.

The sad truth is that LSU has been a middle of the road SEC West team for many years now and the only hope I have is that 0 can keep the status quo.

Nick saved LSU and Bama

Nobody questions that.
