Idk much about what you guys have. Do you have position players as good as casey Martin, dominic fletcher, or Heston kjerstad? Or are you hoping to be carried by your pitching?

Returned a lot, great incoming class.
Should have a stout lineup and deep pitching staff.
On paper, best shot at title in a few years.

Great overall team. Returned entire outfield who are all great players (Cabrera, Watson, Duplantis). We get our star SS back from injury this year (missed last year), Josh Smith.
Very very strong pitching rotation this year and just very deep there. Hess/Marceaux/Walker, Walker coming back from injury. Marceaux a lot of folks consider the best incoming freshman pitcher in the country. I believe he's pitched almost 25-30 some innings of scoreless baseball between fall and winter practices here. Hess had his up and downs last year but has great stuff they expect will turn into a much lower ERA this year. Walker was a freshman all american.
We have starters from last year going into the pen like Hilliard and Peterson. We have a few big incoming position recruits as well.
Question marks will be at 3B (Hughes - offensively) and C (we arent starting our best probably to start the year in Mathis). We feel really good about just about everywhere else.

I don’t know but we’ll beat Arky anyway

We basically have everyone from last year’s team returning, plus our injured shortstop who was out all year, plus a power hitting DH in the middle of the lineup, plus multiple freshman pitchers who were projected to go in the top 5 rounds of the the draft until they turned the pros down.
As far as comparisons go i’d Say:
KJerstad = Cabrera
Josh Smith = Martin
Duplantis = fletcher
Plus I’ll add that we have Watson back who is a plus defender in CF and a surprisingly powerful bat for a guy with his kind of speed.
We are pretty stacked this year.

Sounds like the series at Baum this year is going to be intense again. Glad we got y'all at home.

Best overall staff I can remember at LSU. We’ve had great aces before, or great bullpens, but this full pitching staff is rediculous.

That said, Campbell could very well end up being one of the best pitchers in the country if his last outing carried over into his development this offseason. I doubt we lose many Friday games unless he's just off.

I can promise you that we know how to catch routine pop ups. Would you like a lesson?

Amazing outfield lineup with Cabrera, Watson and Duplantis who must be on pace to break a ton of records in SEC hitting. And yes, our pitching will carry us through to Omaha no doubt. Very deep. Have about 6 weekend starters.
