Year 1 is always tough, plus the reasons Lunatik listed. LSU plays 10 P4 opponents with 5 SEC road games.

I don't know how true this is. And even if it was, how come level-headed LSU fans like you and LSULunatik don't call your own fans out and rein them in when they get carried away?

I think Kiffin was at Ole Miss for 5 years, and was never able to get anywhere near the national title game as a coach.
IMO, if he really thought the team this year was good enough to win, he wouldn't have gone to LSU. We will never know as you said, just like it is not a sure thing he ever is that close at LSU over the next 5 years

Because the opposite is true for what people say about LSU. It's a 2 way thing. I say things sometimes, but this is everyone's individual experience. It's not as if we are all going to meet one day. I feel like everyone should do whatever is fun for them.
